Altitude Salon

I went to have my hair done by Laura Lafitte Bass for several years while she was living in Baton Rouge. She has recently moved to Colorado and I wish her nothing but the best, however, I hated to see her go. Laura always listened to exactly what I wanted, and I left with a smile every time. She gave me a wonderful haircut that I have been very pleased with. Laura also offers good advice for styles and coloring, as well as products. Hopefully you will enjoy her services as much as I did. =) more

Meaghan is great. I decided to chop my hair, but forgot the photo of the cut I wanted. Given previous experiences at salons when I did not have a photo, I was leery to go ahead with the short cut. But Meaghan helped me find some other photos with elements of the cut I liked, then worked her magic with her scissors, and I left the salon with a cut I loved. I would recommend Meaghan to anyone! more

I went for the first time to Altitude for a color appointment with Kate and I got exactly what I wanted! I have gotten so many compliments on the colors and Kate was efficient and fun to chat with. I loved my experience at Altitude. I went in on Thursday for blonde highlights and a cut, and Meaghan did an absolutely fabulous job! After moving to Denver to begin school at DU, I was determined to find a stylist I could trust. I soon met Felicia, who at the time was working in LoDo at The Parlour, and immediately came to respect her skills. A few months later and without hesitation, I followed Felicia to her new location, Altitude Salon. Not only is Felicia an incredible stylist who is never afraid to try new techniques on my hair, she is also genuinely personable and a fun and engaging individual. Being an Asian guy, I have a very difficult hair type? it's incredibly straight, very course and very thick. I have had numerous bad hair days due to stylists who lack the proper knowledge to tackle my hair. However, Felicia not only uses her extensive personal knowledge, she also goes out of her way to visit with other stylists who know my hair type. In that sense, Felicia has certainly earned my trust and respect. She knows how to push my personal style to the edge without making me feel uncomfortable. Every time I leave, I feel refreshed and renewed. Altitude Salon itself is very hip, vibrant, and yet quite relaxing. Meaghan has done a wonderful job in creating an environment that is fun, sophisticated, and professional. I did the unthinkable! I tried coloring my hair again and turned it red/orange. Meaghan not only got me in to fix it right away but made me look like a millon bucks for a party the same night. With her attention to detail and addressing your needs she is one in a millon. The salon has a great atmosphere and the attention to customer details is outstanding. If your looking for a great hair dresser, look no further! Within 15 minutes I knew I wanted Meaghan to take care of all our hair needs for my wedding coming up. It's nice to have peace of mind that your going to leave looking so beautiful. I found Brittany's special on Craigslist and really wanted to update my style for my upcoming birthday. I told her what I wanted and she suggested idea's to give me a bigger overall change. I went in this morning not really sure what i wanted to get done but i had an idea of what i wanted. Brittany ran some ideas by me and she ended up doing a stacked bob. It came out really cute and it was just what i was looking for. I wish i would have took her recommendation and got bangs like she suggested. Felicia has really opened my eyes to possibilities that I've never considered for my look. Beyond just hairstyling, cutting and coloring, which are sublime, she has a keen eye for several little things that really make a man's look pop and a woman's features sparkle. My hair is pretty simple, but I've seen her work on other male clients who demand more from her and she delivers every time. I came to Altitude salon referred by my friend who sees Felicia. It's like the gates of hair heaven were opened and rain drops of pure happiness washed over me! This woman is simply amazing. I've been to her 4 times now for cut and colors and eyebrow waxes and I simply can't believe how my hair looks! Every time I sit in her chair, she takes it from the top, asks me how the style is working, what I like and don't like. EXCELLENT consultations while drinking a glass of wine. You never get the feeling she is just waiting for you to shut up so she can start cutting away. I came in stuck in a style rut for ten years. She has gradually brought me to a new style that I never thought I could pull off and every time I see myself in the mirror, I love the way my hair looks! She give amazing tips and pointers on how to do my own hair to look as good, too. If you want a stylist who will make you feel comfortable the instant you sit in her chair--do yourself a favor. I followed Felicia to this salon earlier this spring and I love it! It's so easy to get to and very relaxing--great music too! I love my stylist. I read on this board someone saying they felt that the stylists at Altitude did not seem that into advanced training. I don't know what the other stylists are like (other than that they are really nice!), but this is not so in the case of Felicia. She has received years of advanced technical training and it really shows! She is simply a joy to have appointments with--professional, always leading me into new styles and out of old ones with grace, makes wonderful suggestions and always helps me out of a jam. She always takes her time with me and I never feel rushed or unimportant. Something I also really like about her is that she always tailors her services to my needs. For instance, I stupidly colored my own roots for a last minute night on the town and missed some spots around my face. She mixed up a tiny amount of color and applied it to my spots for me--without being asked and free of charge! She appreciates my budget and patronage and always makes allowances for me.
