Not what I was expecting 6/3/2009

I took my bridesmaids dress here to be altered. I went to pick it up 5 days after the date she told me it would be ready and it was sitting in a pile of clothes with the pins still in it. She said she had been busy with prom dresses and I could pick it up the next day. When I picked it up, the hem had been done using a surger and the quality of the work definitely wasn't what I was expecting considering I spent $55 to have it hemmed and the straps shortened. To top it off it wasn't on a hanger when I picked it up and I had to ask for a hanger and bag in order to take it home. Overall, next time I think I'll try a different place for my alterations. more

Best alterlations & best custom-made clothes! 11/15/2007

Willing to give me special appointments. They go the extra mile. Excellent work. Cons: I wish they had more locations! more

A++ for Brenda's Golden Stitch! 10/5/2007

The first time I went to Brenda's Golden Stitch was for my wedding alterations four years ago. She did an incredible job! My dress needed letting out on the sides and she turned it from a strapless to a halter style. It was perfect! Now both my husband and I take all our alterations there--Usually hems with some random things in-between like a broken zipper replaced, and we're always very pleased. I highly recommend Brenda's because they do great work, are very professional and give wonderful service. Pros: Quick, affordable, friendly staff, lots of parking, cute and spacious shop Cons: Closed on Mondays more
