This resort is on the top of the world. It is up even further then Snowbird (you can get a combined lift ticket if you wish) . It is nice. One of the big draws is that they do not allow snowboards. Some love this fact and some hate it. But that is the way it is. more

Great place for all ages 8/17/2005

For those that love skiing but not snowboarding, Alta is the greatest snow on earth. Snowboarders are not allowed at this resort which really helps the snow and the attitude of the people up there. I am a beginner and Alta was the perfect place to learn. It is quite pricey though which is my only complaint. I would recommend calling to look for promotions to get the price reasonable. more
