As soon as I walked in, it reminded me of some of the hot dog places I've been to in Chicago. I got to meet Al and talked with him while I ordered what I wanted. I ordered a Chicago dog and it was great! The fries were good too. I might start going there more often. Now, they have another location at Power/Brown that is closer to my house. Thank You! If your from Chicago you have to stop by Al's 6/11/2007

Al's reminds me of many hot dog places back home on the south side of Chicago. Al is usually in the joint when I stop by and always says "Hi" to me. His hot dogs are very chicago even right down to the neon green relish. His fries are also very good and a large is enough for 2 people. He also serves up a pretty good Gyro with the meet cut right off the cone. The place will make you home sick if your from Chicago with all the sports memorablia hanging on the walls. Stop by Al's and you won't be disapointed. Pros: Great Chicago style Dog Cons: prices are on the high side more

Southwest Chicago 3/18/2006

I believe this restaurant moved to 1152 N. Power Rd. Excellent Hot dogs, Chili Dogs, and fries. Just like back home in Chicago. more
