This place was clean enough around Christmas when I joined and it's nasty now (May). Makes me wonder if they only clean when it's prime time for people joining. When they give you a tour, they point out and show you the few nice WORKING great machines. I should have looked closer... since the day I joined several pieces of equipment have yet to be fixed or replaced. To be fair, I mainly only use the rowing machines, treadmills and elliptical, so I can't say much for the other machines. No joke, only 2 of the elliptical machine work!! The showers are especially gross, I saw cobwebs on some of the machines recently, and there is only ever half the lights on.
I like that they have free daycare, but you get what you pay for. The daycare workers are great, don't get me wrong there. But the room your kids are in is even dirtier than the gym. A lot of the toys are broken and/or old. One time I was there I helped the daycare lady kill THREE spiders in the toy chest... and kids constantly get toys in and out of this thing! I also don't like that you can only see your kid from the lobby of the gym - I wish they has a window on the wall that looks out into the gym, but that's more personal preference.
Lastly, the membership fees. I was told one thing when I went in to inquire about the gym and then told something else when I went in to sign up and pay. And both times I talked to the SAME guy - the male OWNER!! That's my fault for not walking out the door then.
I really feel giving this place 1 star. But they seem to make two groups of people really happy which is why I'm giving 2 stars..... the elderly crowd loves their silver sneakers class and the room is always packed for those classes. And the other group is those who only do weights. If you're looking for cardio and daycare and cleanliness, go somewhere else.
