Sharkeez Ripoff 8/28/2008

Last night used my ATM card there. My charges were 21.89. At home I looked at my bank statement. I had 2 $25.00 charges from Sharkeez. I went back to ask them to remove one. They said it was a pre-authorization charge and would be removed in 3 days. I explained that no one informed me of this. I would have used cash. They showed me a slip I signed authorizing the charges. The slip has in large letters "Win A VIP Happy Hour Party...." Below in small letters it explains the pre-authorization charges. Sleazy. more

Dirty College Bar, yum! 8/23/2005

Sharkees is known as the dirty college bar in Santa Barbara. Thursday night is college night downtown and the bars are runnover by 20-23 year olds. Sharkees has great drink specials ($1 well drinks) and they of course have the infamous "bucket" which is a large bucket filled with different fruit juices and different alcohols. There are about 5 different types of buckets, but be careful, "bucket nights" can get a little crazy. Sharkees is known for having the swimming mermaid behind the bar on thursdays and saturdays. Many of my friends have swam and it is a great job and entertaining to watch! Good travels! more

Drink Specials 8/15/2005

Sharkeez in santa barbara is a bar that I like to go to when I want to drink. They have great drink specials daily. Also they have good deals on food during the day. I love thursday nights at sharkeez they have 2.50 you call it and the atomosphere is a good college vibe. The bar tenders are very nice and always hook you up and make good drinks. On friday nights they have drinks 2 for 1 and on saturdays they bring back the 2.50 you call its. One of the best things about sharkeez is that they have a mermaid that swims in a tank on college night. Check out sharkeez next time you are in santa barbara. more
