Have been going 5+ years after discovering it blocks from my work (CSULA). Have tried just about everything and have never been sorry. My two favorites are the Macadamia Nut Pancakes (yummy any time) and their snow cones are incredible! Ernie recommended the short ribs and they are to die for, too. Great Chinese Chicken salads and won ton soup. Quality is always consistent because Betty is always there in the kitchen with a smile and a 'hello'. If you order something to go, you can flip through the family photo album while you wait. Great food, great prices, all around great place to go. By the time you leave, you feel like part of the extended family. Don't skip this one! Pros: Owners, food & the prices! Cons: They're closed on Mondays more

Have tried just about all, and it is all great. 8/28/2007

I have taken my family in for lunch, for the past 2 years, and the service and the flavor has not changed at all. It is always fresh and plenty of it. They will tell you if you might have ordered to much, but doggie boxs are always available. The pork fried rice, the fried noodles and veggies are the best. You will not go wrong. more

The little restaurant that could! An undiscovered GEM in Alhambra ! 6/21/2006

This place is amazing! I lived in Alhambra for 5 years and heard about it from all my neighbors but never went in. Now I live 35 minutes away and we go there all the time. The owners, Betty and Ernie are incredibly nice and lots of fun. This is a very down home, mom and pop kind of place that you feel instantly at home in. Everything on the menu is amazing and YES I've tried everything at least once. My favorite is the Kalua Pig which is done PERFECTLY and cannot be beat. The food is amazing and you should treat yourself to lunch or dinner at this place as soon as possible! Pros: Every dish is excellent, staff is amazing and nice more

Yummy! 1/31/2004

You've got to love a restaurant that proudly serves SPAM. The owner is a wonderful woman that loves her customers and will make just about anything you want, as long as she has the ingredients. She heard me mention kim-chi fried rice with spam (not on the menu) and said she'd be glad to make it. They even had toys for the kids since she is the proud grandmother of a lucky boy named Chip. Overall, a great place to eat! Pros: tasty food, great service, kid-friendly more

A real mom and pop place. 6/19/2003

I have been here many times with many different people and no one has ever had a bad meal. The Cha Shu Fried Rice is the best but anything on the menu with cha shu, kaluha pig or kaluha chicken is excellent. The burgers are huge and dripping with teriyaki sauce or chili. The fries are good, too and can be topped with a number of things. The short ribs, siamin...what else is on the menu...it's all really great. And to top off the great food, it's run by two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. more

We need more like this! 9/27/2002

I ordered the stirfry veggies and rice and it was the best! I tasted the bbq pork that a friend ordered and it was amazing! Also, try the teri fries, so yummy. Very family oriented and friendly service. Check them out! I like the fact that its inexpensive healthy food, you don't feel like the kids are eating a bunch of junk! more
