Perfect Local Romantic Weekend Get Away! 2/11/2009

This W Silicon Valley is a very reasonable price for a local Romantic getaway weekend! Me and my girlfriend have stayed here many times and that they give us either one of our two favorite rooms we have stayed in the past! Yes there is not much around their out side of the hotel to do with out jumping in a car to get there. But we had plenty of fun staying in playing in our suite! more

Not ideal for local hangout !!! 2/26/2006

Let's face it folks, this place my have been someones bright idea, but not for a local hangout. First off it is in Newark. This hotel is geared towards the business traveler, not the local in search of something more upscale than the offerings in Fremont, Newark, and Union City. The bar area is very hip, and sexy, but that's where it stops. I asked myself, where are all of the hip people. All I observed were business travelers. To me it just does not make since to spend all that money on a place that is in the wrong location. I was told by an employee that the reason they stop having entertainment was do to the fact that they were attracting the wrong type of crowd. And, oh yes about the bar service, I did not have any problems getting my drinks in a timely manner. Pros: ATTRACTIVE BAR Cons: EXPENSIVE, BAD LOCATION more

Terrible service! 8/22/2005

My husband and I went to the bar on a Saturday night. The bartender was a snail! He walked around aimlessly like he didn't have a clue! Decided to serve us after I had to attract his attention saying, ""Excuse me! We are waiting for drinks!"" DUH!!! Why else would we sit there? Even after that, he still took a good 20 minutes before getting us our drinks and helped patrons that came in after us. Not worth the $16 he charged us for the disgusting T10 & tonics (they ran out of Sapphire that night - a hotel doesn't carry more than 1 bottle of a certain type of liquor)? Other bartender served dirty martinis in WINE GLASSES? How much more ghetto can you get? Definitely will not be back! The employees at this location do the ""W"" brand a disservice!!! Pros: Bad service, Bartenders are idiots, Not worth the money Cons: Stylish decor more

Good Looks, But Not Worth the $$$ 1/3/2003

I heard about this place from a friend who said that this is a pretty happin' place. The sleek sexy style, makes you feel sensuous. But is it worth the $?ABSOLUTELY NOT! I was there on a Thurs night (They usually have a band on Thurs/Fri), having a few drinks, to only find out that I got ripped off. A bottle of Corona $10! A shot of Don Julio Tequila $11.50 EACH-4 shots $46! It was only a 1oz shot for crying out loud! NO ENTERTAINMENT; NO OTHER PEOPLE; NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not even some best clubs even charge that much, but at least they give you some type of entertainment and atmosphere besides good looks. My advice; go somewhere else , if I was going to pay that much, I would go to place with entertainment, played music, something... instead of leaving me to feel sour, bored, and unattended. Pros: nice look, great ambiance Cons: NO ENTERTAINMENT, NO MUSIC, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE more
