Almost Perfect Used Books

I am impressed with the selection of books they have, and their prices were decent. (They also have new books for those of you who are grossed out by anything used!) ; ) I was also able to replace my read so many times it's falling apart copy of Scruples for two bucks! ; ) It was clean, a bit crowded but in a book store that's a good thing! The employees are friendly and helpful. From what I understand they also have a trade in program where you can bring in books and get store credit for them. I'm not sure if it's just like Bookworm's-i.e. you can pay with 1/2 store credit only, or if you can use 100% credit if you have enough. I'll have to ask. ; ) They're also the only used bookstore that I know of in Elk Grove. I'll be hitting them before Borders or Barnes and Noble from now on. more

I had no problems with the staff when searching for a few used books. They had a great selection and the books were defenitely used. A lot of books were torn up, but the price reflected that. All in all, it is a great store to come to if you can't find the book you are looking for in a bigger store, like Borders. more

but the books are still useable. A lot of the books have plenty of damage, but then they still have some life in them. The store is a little scary as you enter inside; it's not really a store for claustrophobic people. I have purchased several books. I wish they would have textbooks for some of my college classes, but it's better than nothing. more

It is a small store and space feels cramped. However, they do have a lot of books. Selection varies each time depending on what other people are bringing in. The quality of the books varies too. Some look like they have not been read while some are dog-eared and beaten up. They only have a small selection of children's books though. However, if you want to sell your books to them , they will only give you store credit They are also starting to add used dvd's to the store, but the selection is few. They also have a few audio cd's in their store. more
