Overall, Alma Apts. is clean and fairly new, a convenient location, cheaply priced. The apartments are right across from the Caltrain so you will hear train noises throughout the day and night...if you are a light sleeper this is not recommended.\r
One thing to watch out for: the landlord here is not understanding and gets fairly angry. She will raise your rent. Different things around the complex might not work--blown fuses, broken laundry machines, easily-clogged-up-with-hair bathtub drains--and she will blame it on you, and be really mean about it. She is pretty scary, I would say that is the worst thing about living there--everything else is fine.\r
Also watch out: the window blinds are flimsy and break off easily, also the white counter is made of some material that stains really easily--if a plastic bag w a supermarket logo is on the counter for a few minutes, it will stain the counter.\r
Be prepared to lose your security deposit and get charged extra as well--we kept our apartment clean and still had to pay extra on top of our security deposit. What are you going to do--we don't live there anymore and can't haggle about all of the charges--but it is incredibly unfair.\r

Overall, living here was okay--emphasizing that it is a pretty good deal in terms of price and cleanliness. I wanted to write this review to advise any potential renters of the definite downsides of this place; if you are going to live here, put your game face on and be prepared to stick up for yourself.
