I was raised in Scottsboro, Alabama and have lived here most of my life. I love the friendliness of this city. Scottsboro citizens have a genuine desire to give back to the community.
I also enjoy giving back to my hometown. I lead the Scottsboro Rotary Club Scholarship Committee, and I am Chair of the Industrial Development Board, Vice Chair of the Finance Committee for my church and radio commentator for Scottsboro High School football games.
On weekends, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kathy — we've been married 27 years — our three sons and our dog, Fitz. I also like working in my yard and playing golf. Thankfully, Scottsboro features several golf courses along with great spots for hunting, fishing and hiking. We're known as “the place where the mountains meet the lake,” and it's a great description. It's also fun to tell people that my hometown houses all the unclaimed baggage in the United States in a 40,000-square-foot retail store.
My father owned this agency before me, and together we have been helping customers for 50-plus years.
