Do you pay for services you don't receive? If you enjoy that kind of thing - this company is for you!!! My neighbor couldn't pay his bill so his service was ""interrupted"" and they refused to provide that service for a good 6 weeks. Once he was able to return to work and tried to re-establish service they INSISTED on him paying NOT ONLY a $35 service interruption fee BUT they also insisted that he actually PAY FOR THE WEEKS THEY DID NOT PROVIDE SERVICE. I can see one or the other as ""punishment"" for not being able to pay the bill due to employment issues but both is absolutely unthinkable. I didn't believe it when he told me so I called to inquire. Sure enough they want payment from him for the 6 weeks he did not receive service with absolutely no service credit PLUS the $35 fee. UNBELIEVABLE. I'm sure they feel they can do this to people since they are the only waste service in the area and they have a ""monopoly"" on this -- but that doesn't give them the right to charge for something they simply DID NOT provide!!!! They lost a client as my neighbor is hauling his own trash now and refuses to even pay the bill that he was willing to pay before. I can't really blame him. Just based on this issue I wish that I could just stop my service (and, well, I just might and I'll start paying him to haul mine?) Who do we report such collection rip offs to anyway?
