Though our problem wasn't an urgent matter, Alliance personal made our heating problem theirs. The thermostat hadn't worked properly since late September. The days had cooled down and night time was cool enough to bear the residual heat trapped in our walls, our ceiling. The New Year brought in unusually cooler temperatures and the nights were just too uncomfortable, too cold by 10pm. My wife called Alliance Comfort Systems and was greeted with a warm welcome from Kelly; she assured Julie a Service Tech would call before arriving later in the day. Kelly said we should expect Maurice by 2 PM. The phone rang, unexpectedly, about 1:45 PM, repairman was fifteen minutes away. Maurice rang the doorbell and politely introduced himself before invited in. We explained what seemed irregular behavior regarding our thermostat and Maurice got busy. "Everything has a life," Maurice said. "Your thermostat has seen its last days, I have two new ones in my van, I can show you both and explain their benefits." Maurice was back in minutes, he was encouraged to let himself back in after digging them off his shelves. We chose the less expensive of the two but it was interesting to hear all the things a thermostat can do in saving consumers Energy Costs. Maurice ask if he could take a look at our AC unit located outdoors and Julie took him to it. Without offering a price, Maurice had our hose reeled out and gave the unit a thorough washing. I asked Julie what Maurice was doing and she explained, adding, "it's free". Everything works great, the thermostat was the problem and Maurice suggested washing, spraying off the AC unit should be done a couple of times every cooling season. Great job, great service!
