I've been going to Dr. Aller for about 15 years. He's very nice to deal with, and so is everyone in his office. They have a large selection of frames to choose from.

Unhurried comprehensive eye care for your entire family
Dr. Thomas Aller has been providing comprehensive eye care to the families in San Bruno and the San Francisco Peninsula since 1986. He has a special interest in contact lenses including complex and difficult cases, dry eyes, orthokeratology, and refractive surgery comanagement. He has been researching and developing methods to help control and slow down the progression of myopia in children and lenses based on his patents will be introduced in international markets in 2010. He recommends eye examinations for children by at least age 5. The earlier myopia or nearsightedness can be detected, the more effective myopia control treatments will be. Dr. Aller has research collaborations with The Vision Cooperative Research Centre in Sydney, Australia, with several professors at UC Berkeley School of Optometry and with several leading contact lens companies. He spends a lot of time researching ways to improve vision and incorporates what he learns from his research into his practice.. Dr. Aller graduated from UC Berkeley in 1979 with highest honors and received the departmental citation,the highest honor of his college. He graduated from the School of Optometry,UC Berkeley in 1983 and received a research award. He later served as a clinical instructor at the school in 1990 and 1991. An innovator and researcher,he developed a software product,Exerceyes that treated the visual problems of computer users. Dr. Aller has completed the world's first scientific study on the use of bifocal contact lenses to control myopia. The study showed conclusively that Dr. Aller's patented method of myopia control reduces myopia progression by 90%. He has now partnered with an international research group to develop new and better lenses and techniques of myopia control and vision enhancement.
