Allen & Sons Tree Svc

Great company and service! Had some trees come down due to an ice storm. I called them in the morning and they were there in the afternoon with an estimate. The next day the army of trucks showed up! They did a GREAT job! Took all of the trees out and cleaned up everything, even grinding the stumps down. They even replaced the lock on the front gate for the dogs. The price was very reasonable! I will definitely use them the next time I need work done. more

We have had several jobs completed by Allen and Sons, and we have been more than satisfied each time. They are quick to respond to phone calls and they perform the work within the specified time period or before. Today, we had a large tree removed. We were extremely impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and experience. They are extremely skilled and I would recommend them to anyone who needs quick, efficient, and economical tree service. more

We could not have asked for a better response from a tree service. We had a very large locust tree in the back yard that needed to be removed in a hurry. Allen and Sons were the only tree service that got back to us immediately, gave us an estimate, set up a date to remove the tree within days, they put us at the top of the list to remove the tree right away because they knew it was ready to come down.. Unfortunately, the tree fell down about 1 hour after setting up the date. Ben Allen came right out to our house that evening and worked with the electric co. to have the tree removed from the power lines and came out a few days later to remove the tree from the yard. The crew was very professional and had the job done in no time at all. The job was harder for them after the tree fell, yet they did not charge us more then the original estimate. They also trimmed up another tree at no additional cost. I will recommend them and will use them again. more

Terrible service from start to un-finish! Inexperienced crew showed up with no idea what needed to be done. No supervision, No owner on site. I'll have to contract another tree service next year to correct the damage done by this company! I Don't know how some reviewers could possibly give this company a good rating, but I can CLEARLY see how other reviewers found them to be less than acceptable. Don't hire this company - find yourself another tree service! It isn't worth the aggravation, or stress. Not to mention the cost for the ""corrective pruning"" next year. We were VERY dissatisfied! more

THIS IS BEN ALLEN, AND IN REFERENCE TO THE LISTED COMPLAINT ABOVE, I WOULD LIKE TO START BY SAYING THE JOB IN REFERENCE WAS IN NO WAY A ""RUSH JOB"". \r THE ""DISABLED VETERAN"" WAS VERY SATISIFIED WITH OUR WORK WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. HE NOT ONLY PRASED THE COMPANY FOR A JOB WELL DONE, HE TOOK IT APPON HIMSELF TO TIP THE CREW FOR THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. \r WE STRIVE HARD TO KEEP OUR A+ WITH THE BBB AND THE DNR FOREST SERVICE WITH THE STATE. OUR COMPANY DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY MONEY DOWN ON ANY GIVEN JOB, YET THE CLIENT FELT SATSIFIED ENOUGH TO PAY THIS BILL IN FULL. \r WE DO ADMIT TO BUMPING THE FENCE, HOWEVER WE DID NOT SMASH THE FENCE TO BITS. WE RETURNED TO REPAIR THE FENCE, BUT THE REPAIR WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. \r I WISH I WAS ABLE TO POST THE PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE, BECAUSE I DOUBT YOU WOULD EVEN BE ABLE TO TELL THAT THERE IS ANY DAMAGE. I am a DISABLED VETERAN! Thank you for reading my review.\r \r The trees were hacked, the crew did a ""rush job"", and it looks horrible! Although I attempted to have the crew ""re-trim"", they claimed they couldnt, due to already taking off too much. Thats the least of my issues with this company!\r \r When attempting to leave, the driver of their huge bucket truck lost control and smashed my fence and gates to bits! \r \r This job was completed in early July. it is now late September, and the damage has STILL not been repaired. \r \r I have made numerous attempts to contact the owner - sent e-mails, phoned the office and his personal cell phone, and could not get this matter resolved. \r \r I have had to contract the repairs out to a professional fence company, and the cost is over $600. \r \r Legal action is now pending, as well as a grievance filed with the Better Business Beurau, and Maryland Attorney General's office. \r \r Do yourself a HUGE favor - DONT hire this company! its just not worth the agrivation. \r \r I am very disapointed that THIS is how a Disabled Veteran is treated by a locally owned small business. I would like to correct some of Mr. Allen's comments from his response.\r \r - Mr Allen was NOT present, he can not asses weather his crew rushed, or did not rush.\r \r - No, I was NOT satisfied. I told this to the crew leader three times while he was on my property. Their repeated efforts made it WORSE.\r \r - Yes, I DID tip the laborors. the men who worked tirelessly in the heat to clear the brush from the ground. The tip was given PRIOR to the driver demolishing my fence / gates.\r \r - The company's ""BBB rating"" is being reviewed due to my complaint. They've also had more than just ME file a complaint against them, which they settled only AFTER the BBB was brought in to mediate. Check the BBB website for yourself. Grievances with the MD Attorney Generals office, and Department of Natural Resources have also been filed.\r \r - The bill was paid in full PRIOR to the damage being done.\r \r - NO ""agreement"" has ever been made. NO restitution has been made. NO effort on Allen & Sons Tree Svc. has been made to resolve this issue.\r \r - NO money has been paid to date for the repairs which he admits to. I hired a professional fence company TWO MONTHS after this took place - got tired of the ""promises to fix it soon"". It was over $600 in damages.\r \r - Mr Allen wishes he could post pictures, I wish you could SEE the trimming yourself - you would know in a second this is NOT a company worth hiring.\r \r - The 10% discount he is offering is STILL not worth the agrivation and unprofessionalism.\r \r Thank You for reading my review.
