I have had numerous things fixed around my house over the years by Allen Electric. I always find their prices to be reasonable. They know what they are doing, and things have always been fixed correctly. I am always very happy with them. They put the little booties on their shoes which I think is a nice touch, and shows consideration. more

Daniel and Mike were an outstanding team. They worked very hard and in a timely manner to remove and install 5 new wired smoke detectors in various locations of our 2 story home and 2 car garage. I also told them that I would like a quotation for installing a new wired front door bell. I did replace all of the batteries in the battery operated door bell but the door bell does not work. They were such a good team that I asked them to quote us a price on installing an electric front door bell which we had before the battery one. They are supposed to email us a quote. more

The quality of the work done was excellent. The electricians were wonderful - neat, polite, prompt efficient. However, I wanted a recessed canister w/eyeball light installed that would be as close as possible to 3 others that were already present (when I bought my home). I was told that these (6" canisters of a particular brand I do not now recall) were no longer made but Allen Electric could install a 5" canister similar to what I had. Now that it has been installed I find that I cannot sufficiently adjust the cover for the eyeball to my satisfaction - the lightbulb extends to the very end of the canister/cover and while sitting in my living room the light is obvious and not simply in the background. I wish I had been told that 6" canisters were available. I don't know for sure but am guessing that Allen Electric didn't have any 5" canisters in stock and that is (again my guess) why this wasn't mentioned. I probably should have asked but didn't - my mechanical acumen simply relies on the professionals. I will probably, in the future, find someone to replace the new canister with a 6" one. Let me conclude that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of the work performed. I only regret that I didn't know enough to ask more questions. more

EXCELLENT. Andrew or Drew R. for short, was down to earth, friendly, professional, and very honest about cost effectiveness without sacrificing safety. I inquired about a lot of different products and he could have easily got another thousand or more out of me. Instead he took the time to explain each product and the benefits to each of them in addition to the cost. He never made me feel dumb or that I was bothering him with all my questions. Also the staff answering the phone is AAA+++. Nichole was so patient with all of my questions and took all the time in the world for me...she is tops!!! more
