We brought our dog in on a Sunday night because he was unable to use his hind legs. We were not allowed to go into the back with our dog even for his vitals check. The vet took radiographs and said that they could not see anything obvious. The Dr. then offered us a surgery saying that it would run us $3,000. We asked what the surgery entailed and it was not explained at all. Saying that we were unwilling to do anything so drastic without more detai;l we asked what the next step for taking care of him would be We were told, ""It's just nursing care from here."" \r

The next morning we took the dog to his typical vet where they immediately ran blood work (which Mission vet had opted against). He has a severe urinary tract infection and an extremely high bacteria count in his blood. He has been on antibiotics for a day and is already starting to sit up and scoot his back legs around bit.\r

When I called Mission Med Vet to explain what had happened I was directed to the business office. I explained our story. I was told that the Dr. we had seen was new, as if that is excusable. They were sorry if her comment about nursing our dog came across the way it had (as if there was some other way panicked pet owners would interpret that). She then ended the conversation by offering us a surgical consult. \r

We will neither be returning, nor recommending them to anyone.\r
