Awesome! I pulled up and a guy came out to help me unload the vacuum. I thought it was because they knew me but no, they do that for everyone! I walked in and told Jack and Pat, ""That is great customer service!""
Anyway, my relationship w/Jack and Pat began several years ago. My wife and I bought a new house and I thought it appropriate to get her a new vacuum. I considered the normal retailers but then thought, hey, why not go to the experts. So I walked into Jack's shop and said, ""I don't want to spend a ton of money but I want the best vacuum you have."" He didn't mince words, he just walked over to a particular model and said this is it. He made his case, showed me more expensive models but DID NOT try to upsell me which was very impressive. Over the years since, he has maintained my vacuum, only charging me for the work done. They have never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. I buy my bags there because they are less expensive than the retailers and lets face it, I'd rather give my business to them.
Now, the reason I decided to write this review is due to my most recent experience. My wife called and said the vacuum is broke, would you please fix it. I came home, examined the underside and found a broken belt. No biggie, just go to Jack, get a belt and we're home free. Went home to put it on and found out the reason why it broke was a damaged roller bar...Crap!!! This was going to cast money I thought. But hey, Jack has always treated me fair so off we go to Jacks. His guy comes out to greet me, I show him the defect (because by this time I've already taken the vac apart), he takes the pieces and heads straight to the back. Jack and Pat invite me to have a seat (I thought I was going to have to leave it there and come back to pick it up) . I sit and have a nice conversation with Jack and Pat, fully expecting to shell out a few bucks for a new roller bar or bearing or something. 5 minutes later, the guy comes out with my vacuum completely repaired. He showed me what happened, my wife ran over the power cord, stopped the roller bar and broke the belt but said the damage to the cord did not warrant a new one, just be careful in the future. I thanked him, turned to Jack and asked, ""What do I owe you?"" He said, ""Nothing, happy to help."" Talk about customer satisfaction! (get that from a retailer!). I highly recommend them and will never go anywhere else.
