My name is Sarah, and I can attest that Mary is the best. Our daughters went to school together, so Mary and I worked as a dynamic duo on a few events: notably Westside High School's homecoming and prom. Homecoming with Mary was literally history-making. We decided to shake up the typical obligatory and sparsely attended after-game dance with originality and interactivity. Since Westside was out to ""Roast the Cardinals,"" we went with a Western Chic theme. Because of Mary's connections, we roped in a whole host of entertainers, such as a mechanical calf-roping horse, a mechanical steer, a national award-winning trick ropster and sharp shooter, and even the Wells Fargo stage coach as a photo prop. The DJ was *outstanding,* playing just the right mix of theme-setting western music as well as *the* latest club songs to keep the kids hoppin'. Westside's administration remarked that our dance was the most well-attended and successful dance (of any) that the school had ever seen. We couldn't have done it without Mary's connections to first-rate entertainers. And don't even get me started about prom. It would take me thirty minutes to type out how amazing that was, thanks in large part to Mary's expertise and connections. We have hired All Star Entertainment for many character parties. That's right.... we are return customers many times over and have always found the entertainment to be exceptional and professional with so much detail given to each character provided by this company. I am Mary Morris, the owner of All Star Entertainment. The angry comments listed here by the woman who claims she ""attended"" the Dora the Explorer party is actually the client, not an ""invited guest"" at the party. This particular client was one of the rudest individuals we have ever had the misfortune to work with. I feel it only fair to tell the our side of the story...... There were way too many people sandwiched into the room for the small size of this room. The adults, who actually outnumbered the children, were extremely rude, talking over us quite loudly the entire time we were there. It was nearly impossible to be heard over their conversations. The children were just ""turned loose"" to run amuck. They were very rowdy and not one adult in the room did anything to maintain any kind of control or order. The children would not follow instructions for the activities that had been planned and the party was generally a huge ""free for all"", ""every man for himself"" so-to-speak. Both ""Dora"" and her party assistant did everything within their power to maintain order and control, without being rude and sounding like harsh disciplinarians, which is not the job of ANY entertainer! When the party was over, both Dora and the assistant left ,knowing full well that they did all they could, but also realizing that this was not the best party, because of the circumstances that were totally beyond their control. I know this because I was there, with Dora, as her party assistant, trying to maintain control with very little success. If it seemed like Dora was ""a mute"", then perhaps it was because she could not be heard over the roar of unnecessary noise in the room, so why bother to speak?!!!!!! These parents did nothing but give us angry glares when we asked for their assistance. It was a very unpleasant situation, but certainly not because of the entertainers' efforts! I just went to a Dora Party they hosted at a friend's house. Dora was a mute!!! She didn't talk the entire party and sat as the other bossy helper lady controlled the show. The other ""Dora"" kept calling Tico ""Tito"" and bossed around the children. She was rude and disshevelled and could not hold the children's attention. These are kids who loooove Dora but didn't know what to make of the whole show. The entire attitude of the Dora lady was off. Totally turned off. Save your money and find someone else. Very disappointed. Pros: None!!! Cons: Stay away!! more
