I moved across town last November and used All My Sons because their price was the best. I wish I had paid the extra money to use a different company! They ruined most of my antique furniture (that had been mine, my mother's and her mother's) and since I signed the Bill of Lading limiting their liability to .60 cents a pound and a $250 deductible, I got a $125 and a ""sorry"" letter. \r \r These guys were morons. One of them stood there, mute, on the stairs after he dropped a mirror and it crashed into pieces. The leader said ""oh today is his first day."" I cannot believe I tipped these guys what I did. I will never again sign ANYTHING without reading it very carefully first. Even if the movers have to sit outside in their truck I will read the entire thing. This company screwed me. And I can never get back the furniture that was passed so lovingly down through the years.\r \r Very unhappy and disappointed. more

I would strongly recommend against using All My Sons Moving and Storage. Our feeling is that they do not stand behind their work and are unwilling to pay for damage done to furniture or for items that are missing after a move. more

hard working guys 8/9/2011

We moved from a 2 bdrm house to another 2 bdrm house within Charlottesville on one of the hottest days in July. These guys were terrific! They made extra effort to get things up some crazy stairs. Even with the heat, they moved quickly and didn't take extra breaks. Of course, I made sure we had plenty of bottled water for them. But they didn't even leave the bottles laying around, they took their trash with them which really suprised us. Orlando, Phoott and George were very professional and courteous. The quote was right on and dealing with the office staff was very pleasant, no problems there. If we ever need to move again, I will certainly call on All My Sons in Richmond without hesitation. more

Excellent service and teamwork in Charlottesville 5/31/2011

All My Sons Moving & Storage is an excellent company. These men were very comfortable to work with. Extra effort was given under very limited conditions. My mother moved within Charlottesville and we had a tight deadline with alot of rain and lightening going on at the same time. Eveyone remained working safely and she has not had any claims or damage to report. They worked extremely efficiently and well together. There was nothing I could mark as 'unsatisfactory' on their review paperwork. Thank you for making what could have been a terrible day a very managable time. We WILL refer you to others! more

We recommend this company 5/28/2011

We found All My Sons Moving in the yellow pages. The crew worked diligently with few breaks. We moved from our house (3500 sq ft) in Fredericksburg to a larger house in Spotsylvania (4200 sq ft). This job couldn't have been done more quickly. We had no issue with the final cost b/c the men worked so hard and were so professional. Rodney (crew leader and driver) remained calm and focused throughout. He was a good manager of the employees and has great people skills with the customers. We hope to never move again, but if we must we will call All My Sons Moving and request the same crew. more

good recommendation 5/16/2011

I am a widower and don't really have much. Me and my dogs moved into a new townhome here within Richmond. I was quoted over the phone (Matt has a great phone voice) and let me tell you he was great! I had found All My Sons in the yellow pages but have since written several nice reviews for them online. I was treated very well by Matt and Dominic in the office. The movers were really good and I would have them do it again. I would recommend them too. They did everything they said they would. All My Sons showed up on time, were careful and courteous, and there were no suprises at the end of the morning. more

amazing! 5/10/2011

I live in VA Beach and needed to move to a new apartment. Not too much stuff, just me in a 2 bedroom. I had everything ready to go! Terrance, John adn James were very funny and super nice! I enjoyed them all, amazing! :) They were fast, careful, and very professional. I would SO recommend them again. No problems with the bill, it was very very close to what was estimated over the phone. Justin DEF knew what he was doing when he was asking about what furniture/belongings I had. CALL THEM!! more

We had a great crew and great experience! The driver and helpers were very nice and made our move fun. We moved within Norfolk and it was super easy. Nothing was damaged or stolen. We will highly recommend! more

Happy with awesome service 4/12/2011

I just had to take a moment to write how happy I was with my recent move handled by All My Sons Moving & Storage. The Virginia office was awesome! Nothing was damaged in my move from Newport News to Arlington. The bill was almost the same as the quote-very happy with that! Compared to the last moving company I used, this one was MUCH better. My damages cost more than my move 11/18/2010

I hired all my sons to pack my moving truck. It cost me $1200 plus the $400 i was bullied into tipping. The fact of the matter is that a great deal of my furniture was unwrapped and unprotected even though I purchased and proved 100 moving blankets and $60 in tape and shrink wrap. They just didn't care. My couch frame broke in three places because it was places on its side standing straight up in the air. An 18th centruy dest was destroyed when a bed frame was shoved on top. It looks like its been keyed with deep gouges that can't be sanded out. The china cabinet was missing a door, that's right missing a door. Other furniture was banged up, chipped, scratched and broken. Brass lamps were placed on the floor even though I provided boxes and bought more from them. I can't tell you how sorry I am that i hired these clowns. I have $7200 in damage estimates. Their claims company is owned by them and i have spent too many hours of my life dealing with them via mail and phone. I have contacted the BBB and attorney general at this point, but may have to hire and attorney. more

GREAT VALUE FOR GREAT SERVICE 10/27/2010

I HIRED ALL MY SONS FOR A MOVE HERE WITHIN RICHMOND. I HAVE A 4 BEDROOM HOUSE-APPROX 3500 SQ FT. MOVE WAS JUST A COUPLE MILES AWAY IN A NEW DEVELOPMENT. OUR STUFF WAS HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY. THEY WERE GOOD ADN WORKED IN A COURTEOUS MANNER. RODNEY WAS A GREAT LEADER. I THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD SERVICE FOR GOOD VALUE. I WOULD CONTACT ALL MY SONS AGAIN IF WE SHOULD NEED TO MOVE IN THE FUTURE. more

I actually found All My Sons Moving in teh yellow pages. I moved from King George to Richmond and used All My Sons Moving. I had a great experience. The team was fantastic! The driver Jon was very organized. Helpers Ed and Robert were all business as well. Nothing was damaged in the move and the office staff is extremely polite and professional. I had little to move, but they were fast and careful. I would highly recommend them. more

Amazing move! 6/2/2010

We had an amazing experience here in RVA with All My Sons Moving & Storage on Friday! My partner and I moved from a 2 bdrm apartment in the Fan to a 3 bedroom in Mechanicsville. We had everything ready adn waiting when they arrived. The moving crew was on time, if not earlier than we expected. The crew was fast and careful. We did not have one claim to file! We had packed our cars with stuff the day prior, just to help keep the cost down. The move in went just as smoothly as the move out. The crew worked very well together and nobody ever took a break. We did not have any issues with the estimate, bill, payment or any staff member. I can't remember who I dealt with in the office, but I DO remember that is wasn't a hassle and that Jim did a spot-on job with the estimate. We had a great long weekend in our new home, all due to the amazing start from All My Sons Moving & Storage on Friday morning! Pros: strong, fast, careful Cons: nothing more

i WOULD use them again.... 5/20/2010

and again and again! all my sons was excellent! i moved from a small rancher to another small rancher. they guys arrived on time and went right to work. they worked their tails off! i was worried because some of my boxes and things had to be swapped out with other boxes and things from a storage unit i rent. but this wasn't a problem with all my sons. i followed the truck and helped direct the "swap". it all went SO smoothly.....what a relief! i had a great experience and the estimate (with the extra stop accounted for) was right on the money. great service too! thanks! -charlene & tim Pros: great team of people, fast, good listeners more

Real good service for good price 5/4/2010

All My Sons moved me this past Saturday. Pretty small move, 2 bedroom mancave to another 2 bedroom mancave. Good guys, good service. Nice people in the office, Dominic handled scheduling me. Never had a problem all day. Hard working, careful. Nothing got broke during move and floors were covered with paper to protect them, got my deposit back. Thanks. Pros: hard workers Cons: 0 more
