I have also been contacted by quite a few people whose names I honestly don't know. The main phone number is 877 762 1369. The guy that I have been dealing with directly and have had many a battle on the phone with so far is 818 358 2954.
Here's the rundown. Having not heard from them, and being promised to hear when my things have shipped, I first called last Wednesday. I spoke to the lady there named Sarah at the first number who then told me she would contact the dispatcher and return my call. She didn't. On Thursday, I then called again and spoke to gentlemen who will most likely answer the phone at that number. He told me he would do the same and call me back...he didn't. On Friday (the first day for delivery), I called again. I spoke again with Sarah who said she would speak to the dispatcher and call me back, she didn't. I called again in the afternoon and got the same information and never heard from her. Two hours later I called again and heard nothing back. The third time I called Friday, I received a phone call back from the guy at the second number above. The final day for delivery was today (day 14 of 7-14 days delivery time).
He stated that the things had not yet been shipped and pretty much there was nothing he could do about it. He said that while the original company has a 7-14 day policy, they have a 21 day policy and it was a miscommunication. I told him that I had to leave the country and the last possible date for delivery was Thursday. He told me that if my things were to leave Monday, the earliest they could be delivered was Friday. He also told me that I would be compensated (after much angry conversation) and that he would call me first thing Monday morning with an update. I heard nothing from him Monday morning so I called again. When I called I was told that my things would be loaded Tuesday morning and the delivery was to be between Friday evening and Sunday. He told me he would call when the date was secured and let me know.
He called this morning and gave me a delivery date of Saturday evening or Sunday morning that was supposedly for sure. He then said the driver would call me with the exact time 24 hours in advance. I was obviously irate. That is when he launched into the whole legal bulls&$t. He offered a payment of $75 by check after we paid the amount in full and when I scoffed at it he said that they didn't have to do that and that he would take it away if it wasn't to my liking.
Later today, while I was in the gym, I received a message from Sarah (first number) and she stated in the message that she had spoken to the driver and the delivery would be between Sunday and Tuesday. I called back immediately and spoke with her and she said she would call the dispatch and get back to me. I have yet to hear back from her.
I also called the main number in NJ on the invoice and spoke with the boss who offered no consolation and stated that they were within the terms of their contract.
Also, to the point of the previous comment, my moving quote was $1300. There is nothing not listed on the quote that is above or beyond what was picked up. What I will be charged, if they don't try and throw additional charges at me as mentioned by the other Yelper, is $2300 (almost double the quote). F*$& THESE PEOPLE. SERIOUSLY, F*$& THEM. We were told 7-14 days. Our things were picked up 14 days ago today and are yet to leave the state of Tennessee.
USE ANYBODY BUT THIS COMPANY. I have moved 7 times for work prior to this and have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen anything such as this. It is the absolute biggest horror story I can imagine. I will be starting work on Monday, with no belongings or clothes for work, after sleeping in my car in the driveway of my empty new home. I had given myself an entire week to get settled from the last possible delivery date and yet this is how it will go down.
