I had to bring my rabbit in late one night because he had stopped eating and was showing signs of pain. He had a fever of 105 (normal being 100-103). With a couple of x-rays, and knowing the usual signs, the vet diagnosed him with GI stasis (where the intestines stop) and recommended that he stay overnight. He wasn't even there for 12 hours, and the bill had already climbed to over $900. I asked for copies of the medical record so that I could bring them to my regular vet the next day. All Creatures sent the rabbit home with ORAL medications. Since his digestive system wasn't even working, I would have thought it would be common sense to not provide oral medications (my normal vet proved me right).
