I have been bringing my cats to Dr. Little when his office was in Belfair, years ago! I have always felt excellent about his sincere care of my animals and of me as the owner-friend of my wonderful cats. I now have two new kitties and he was very thorough with our first visit after I adopted Pete & Priss from the Humane Society. If there are any derogatory reviews on this web page, I can assure anyone reading this that they are probably just a one time, unfortunate incident not a pattern. I have NEVER had a bad experience at Dr. Little's office! I also don't believe the type of products a vet's office has any connection to the care the animals and clients receive!
What I wish to describe in this review is the experience I had when my 23 year old Tonkinese, Shi-Shi, passed away.
For the two years before her death, I would call Dr. Little and when workload allowed he would call me back to help me decide if Shi-Shi's quality of life was good enough to decide whether or not to put her down. This is an extremely difficult decision to make. Dr. Little dealt with my situation in a wholistic manner, as aware as he could be of the fact that I had lost my only child, was going thru a nasty divorce and was the primary Hospice care giver for my Mom. Shi-Shi was beloved within my large family. She was an unusually lady-like, elegantly beautiful cat with an above average intelligent and eyes so light blue to be almost white. A few of the amazing things about her: she watched TV, hissed at cats in magazines, and fetched toys. My brother, two years before Shi-Shi's death, had made her a tiny coffin. I couldn't look at it and kept it wrapped and stored in my garage. The day I KNEW I had to put her down, the only person available to go to the vet with me was my very sick Mom. I called Dr. Little's office and he personally got on the phone and said bring her in right away. I brought her in in a basket and my Mom brought in the tiny casket. Shi-Shi was in a lot of pain but laid very quiet and just kept her eyes on me. Dr. Little actually came to the door and one of his staff helped me into one of the examining rooms. He described what would take place. I already knew what would transpire but thanked him for his kindness. After he gave her the shot and her little body went limp, he personallly placed her in her fleece blanket inside the little casket and arranged her tiny body to look as if she were asleep. When he and some of his staff saw what was written on the inside cover of the casket his eyes filled with tears. I was very overwhelmed with grief but remember the deeply caring way Dr. Little and his staff cared for my cat and the deep kindness they showed me that awful day. I will NEVER forget it! You see this tiny, beautiful animal with fur soft as Chinchilla, who added so much to my life... Shi-Shi was a beloved member of my family and a dear friend of mine!
Thanks Dr. Little and Staff!

P.S. Written on the inside of the casket: "She was always a lady and a lady always know when to leave."
