I began using All About Medical Billing by referral from one of their primary customers. And while that primary customer and I worked together, things were okay. Sometimes, things were late, but rarely. Collections were awesome, except my patients sometimes complained about the tone of the people calling for money. I understand that many of my patients suffer from some cognitive difficulties, but kindness goes a long way in my world.
Anyway, when the primary client of All About Medical Billing and I stopped working together, then Mr. Duncan said he could no longer do my billing. He gave me 30 days notice despite the fact that I was ill and undergoing surgery and would be out for several months. This left me with no biller. It also left me with no strength to actually figure out all of the paperwork and change my address myself. It was a horrible experience and while I am sure all of the things Mr. Duncan did were ""legal"" I find the tactics to be unethical.
A few providers in Austin have asked and I have told them...if you only care about money, then I suppose this might be the billing service for you. If you care about customer service and kindness, if you ""care"" about how your patients and their family's are treated then perhaps there might be another company that is better suited for you.
Overall, I am grateful for the change in my life despite the abrupt and unbusinesslike method in which it was done.
Good Luck.
Oh, and BTW, they are not on MOPAC anymore. They haven't been for a while. I've known them since 2006 and they have been in 3 locations since that time.
