Dr Davis correctly diagnosed my cat as having problems related to diabetes and changed my cat?s medication to a new form of insulin ? Lantus. Because Dr. Davis was willing to try something new ? but tested? my cat made a full recovery. She took additional time to explain the feline bodily processing of insulin and had a technician come in and teach me ? hands on ? how to give insulin shots. She then went further and called me at home and spent time following up on how the insulin was working and addressing my concerns.\r Dr Davis was thorough, patient and so very helpful. more

Dr. Davis and the staff are fantastic at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic. The doctors explain things clearly, and they always answer any questions I have without seeming impatient or rushed. My two black labs get along well with the friendly staff, and I feel like they are genuinely cared for if I ever have to leave either of them there. more

I have been a client of Aliso Beach Animal Clinic for many years; they have taken care of all three of my kitties, and have been more than compassionate and understanding. They handle end-of-life care with respect and compassion, and they do not try to "sell" aggressive treatments As my present kitty deals with chronic renal failure, I know I can trust both Drs. Davis and Reid to provide compassionate, expert care, and to be truthful and compassionate as the illness progresses. \r \r The only downside is that after-hours services are not offered; patients are referred to the emergency clinic in Mission Viejo, which is a long distance. On the plus side, if an emergency occurs during their office hours, they make every effort to work clients into their schedule on the same day. Now that my kitty is chronically ill, that gives me peace of mind. \r \r I also pet-sit, and most of my clients go to Aliso Beach Animal Clinic as well. Dr. Susan Davis is a patient and compassionate veterinarian. We feel so lucky to have found her to care for our pound puppy, Lillyput! She does not make you nor your pet feel rushed, but gives your pet the attention that they deserve. more

Susan Davis is not only a remarkable vet, but she is also a caring person. As a Vet Dr. Davis is talented and exacting--she's saved our current cat Shadow's life twice, once when she performed emergency surgery on Shadow after a racoon attack and a second time when she identified a serious colon illness early enough in its progression to cure it. But perhaps the most impressive thing about Susan how deeply she cares about the animals she treats and about their owners. When our 19 year-old cat was dying, Susan treated her and us with kindness and sensitivity. And, after putting her to sleep (per our request), she took the time to write us a letter telling us that our cat died peacefully and expressing concern and empathy for our pain. I am here to tell you first PAW (hand) about Dr Davis. She is my favorite vet, but mostly she is my friend. When I am sick she takes care of me and makes me better. When I need to have scary tests she is always nice to me and speaks kindly to me to make me know everything will be okay. I love all the technicians and receptionists at her office-I even like those darn cats, but they ignore me! If you love your dog like my Mom loves me you will take him or her to Dr Davis! I have known Dr Davis since I was a little tiny puppy, now I am a very big dog and she still sits on the floor and lets me lay my head in her lap like when I was little. I have been taking my Golden Retriever "Cody" to Dr. Davis since he was six weeks old-He is now 8 years old. I have moved several times and even though it is a long drive and no longer convenient, the quality and care he receives makes it worth it. The technicians have never been anything, but kind and caring to my dog. Cody and I have great communication and when he doesn't like someone or his situation is bad he leans on me. When we arrive at Dr. Davis's office he leaps out of the car with his tail wagging. That speaks volumes. more

I had a very bad experience here. For starters, the waiting room is really, really small! On two seperate occasions my 30 lb. dog (who was scared) was dragged across the floor by a vet technician. My dog had surgery for bladder stones by Dr. Paul Reid. Dr. Reid could not get the bladder stones out of my dog's urethra. He ended up referring me to a Surgical Specialist in Tustin. So my dog had two surgeries, two weeks apart. The second Vet was able to remove the stones with no problem. When my dog had surgery here he was left alone from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. the next day.
