Very disappointed. I brought my bird to Dr. Durante after it had gotten bit by a dog approximately 24 hours earlier. Dr. Durante assured me that my bird would recover, however, within 4 hours of leaving his office, my bird died. I was taken advantage of, misled and given false hope. After having my bird in his office for observation and feeding, Dr. Durante still felt that my bird had more than a 50% chance of survival, even though the bird had not gained any weight, injured itself further by falling inside their cage, and was more listless than when I dropped him off. Dr. Durante gave me false hope and charged me for medicines that were never even able to be used. After discussing this with him over the phone, he refused to be cooperative in any way. Please think twice before taking your bird to be treated by Dr. Durante. I feel that being a professional, he should have been better able to accurately assess my bird's condition and give me an honest answer about his chance of survival. Rather, he took advantage of a pet owner's love for her bird in order to profit.
