I have been going to Alfredo's since the 70s. Back when it was Frank's. It was the best then, and still is. We would drive 20 minutes each way for a slice. All other pizzas is compared to it. Very few come close. The sauce is very rich, with good tomato flavor with plenty of oregano and garlic. The crust is on the thick slice. Hand made and tossed. The oven cooks it hot, but without burning like wood fired ovens. The cheese is spread on thick. It seems like a mixture of mozzarella, parmesan, and romano. After baking, the pizzas age like all good NY pies. This allows the sauce and cheese to combine, and gives the crust a second baking. Classic NY pizza, dine to perfection. The restaurant is large and clean. The menu includes a full selection of pizza place favorites, and I have tried a few. Everything is delicious.
Pros: Pizza, sauce, chees, dough, crust
