These guys have an ok set up and they usually have all of the new comics in stock but they have a massive problem with keep older rare stuff in stock. I'd go to specialty stores for that. On top of that, they have a good selection of old baseball collector cards worth checking out. more

comics on the east side 7/26/2005

My son has recently taken up comic book collecting and I've made the tour of New York Comic stores. Alex's is on the small side and doesn;t have much by the way of older comics but they do carry most of the new comics as well lots of baseball and basketball cards. They also have Pokemon and U-Gi-Oh cards. more

Comics and Cards On the UES 7/9/2005

Northern most store on the East Side Alex's has been around a good 15-20 years. It's a small space and even though it is pretty crammed they really don't have all that much. That being said they carry a mix of comics and cards and if you just want a quick read or need a few packs of cards to satisfy your pack opening cravings then a stop here wouldn't be such a bad thing. more
