Alex's Comfort Shoes

This place just wants to sell their shoes whether they fit right or not. I recently bought a pair of New Balance $172.00, and I told the man I had sciatica and neuropathy, and he led me to believe the size was alright for me even though I asked for a another size bigger, but he said we don't have that size, and continued to tell me this was the right shoe and fit for me. I trusted him because it was an orthotic store and figured he had some experience and knowledge about these matters. But after two months, an ingrown toenail I had to have surgically fixed, and very sore and tight fitted feet, I tried to take them back today to see if he could help me out and exchange them. But they refused to do that. I am upset because all they were interested in was to sell their shoe, make some money, and not care if it cost an arm and a leg to buy for a disabled, low income person. I feel burned, and taken for, and lied to. That store owner doesn't know what he is doing. Never again will I ever shop there and don't recommend it. Go somewhere else who has real knowledge and care about the value of proper fitted shoes. more

This place has undergone some changes, and all for the better. The whole staff is very knowledgeable on speciality shoes, and they really help you out. Once watched them help a lady with different sized feet. Didn't charge her for two pairs, but just one! They have software that can tell you what your foot problems are, and then "prescribe" a shoe that will best suit your needs. And they have some really cute speciality shoes as well! You can be stylish and comfortable too! more

My husband has to get shoe inserts every few months and this is where he buys them from. His doctors office recommended this place to him. The employees are very nice and helpful. They really know what they are talking about. If you have problems with your feet, they can recommend certain shoes to try and lessen the problems. They also make the inserts in an hour, which is so fast! more
