I had the best ribs I have ever tasted, bread, baked potato, the ceasar salad best ever had. But the most generous gesture from the owner Perry, was his attentiveness toward our mother that is in a wheelchair, he helped my sisters and I to push her to the car and load her wheelchair in the trunk. Is that service and above all kindness at its best. Thank you Perry, from my sisters and I from Bakersfield, Ca we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll be back with our Dad, Husbands, Brothers and nephews. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Alex's BBQ is really good. They have the best top sirloin steak that I have had in my life (and that is a lot). Their prices are pretty comparable to Shaw's or Hitching Post (about $16 or $18) and you get all the sides with your steak. The wait staff is really nice and they make sure to keep your drinks filled. They also have fish and chicken, if you would like. They are really famous for their BBQ ribs. I haven't tried the ribs because I like to stick with the steak, but I have heard that the ribs are really good. If you are in a hurry, make sure you allow time for parking on the weekends. We went last weekend and the lot was absolutely full and the street was packed as well. more
