Reliable movers, affordable service! 7/19/2011

You won't find a better moving company. I've hired them twice now. They show up on time, working swiftly and with care, and have very reasonable rates. Plus they're just great people. When you're waiting for the truck first thing in the morning on moving day, these are exactly the people you always hope to see get out of the cab. Look no further. more

Affordable and professional moving company 7/12/2011

These guys were the most energetic, friendly, un-phased-by-the-snow-movers, I could ever imagine. They wouldn't LET me touch a single box and even helped me carry some stuff that wasn't part of the move. They stayed in touch about their arrival, knew where they were going and were very efficient, careful and fast. I will never use a different moving company again. more

Alexandria Moving 12/13/2010

A very good move with Alexandria Moving. The preliminary information from the office was excellent. The movers showed up on time, were friendly and everything was as advertised. The job took about as long as estimated. They are certainly not the cheapest but it was worth the extra. One minor thing is that they charged me $6 for using some packing tape, which seemed a bit petty when I had spent $600 on the move. Overall I would recommend them for a stress-free move. more

Alexandria Moving surpassed my expectations; I wish I could give them 10 stars. My fiance and I moved to Alexandria from Miami via an ABF ReloCube (pod). Alexandria Moving met us at the terminal, emptied our ReloCube, hauled everything to Alexandria and into our 6th floor apartment. We never came into contact with an unpleasant person during the planning of the move and their prices were pretty reasonable. The movers were really patient and quick; they even offered to come and pick up our boxes after we finished unpacking. They don't always answer the phone; however they are quick to return calls! more

Alexandria Moving did our move fast and easy 11/16/2010

I have moved 16 times in my life and this was by far the most professional, stress free move I've had! These men arrived promptly as scheduled, worked very well together, were very organized and efficient. I had no damages to furniture, floors, walls and especially my immaculate baby grand piano. I highly recommend Lucas, Harry and Ivan to anybody that would need a professional service like this! Thanks guys! more

Great company with GREAT EMPLOYEES! 11/14/2010

My movers found nearly $600 dollars, covered in dust, behind my daughters desk. This is more than my total moving cost was. We don't even know when she lost it. You don't find people like this anymore. I definitely recommend these movers. I am making sure this deed does not go unnoticed. I am writing about this everywhere for everyone to know. Ronnie, Jack and Igor. Ask for these guys and tip them well. more

Alexandria Moving team were very professional, efficient & did the extra packing that we needed help with.They worked extremely hard and provided a wonderful service . They wrapped everthing with blanket & they were also very careful about how they moved the furnitures . we made the best decision. Great movers & company !!! highly recommended more

i priced out 3 moving companies for my apartment move and Alexandria Moving was the lowest, and most responsive. you tell them exactly what they have, and they give you a fair flat rate. the guys showed up ten minutes early and got right to it. they were friendly, careful and fast. they took time to wrap delicate items, and didn't try to overload themselves and risk crushing/breaking anything. my new place is a 5 floor walk up, and it happened to be raining but neither slowed the guys down, or caused complaints. i hope i don't move again for a little while, but will definitely use these guys again. more

Same day movers #1 10/14/2010

We had two moving companies cancel on us and we had just lost all hope of moving companies all together as soon as we called these guys they showed up almost 2 hrs after we originally called and helped us with the remainder of the move made the stress from the whole day of calling around go away we literally called around 12 companies all wich turned us down either because the move was to small or it was to short notice so all we have to say is thank you for everything!!! more

I hate moving with a passion. I have dealt with other moving companies in the past who are complete morons. Well, Alexandria Moving has changed my point of view. They made my move go very fast and everything was handled in a professional manner. I have found the only moving company I will ever need. more

AM is my best movers ever ! 10/4/2010

I've used them twice this year (once to move my furniture into storage, and then to move from storage to my new home) and couldn't ask for a better 'move' experience. They were right on time both times, used great care when removing items from my old house, and were extremely friendly. Others who were present at the time of the move commented at how impressed they were with the precautions A M took to ensure that nothing was damaged...from covering all floors, to padding the banister and doorways, to wrapping all of my furniture in quilts. When I removed my furniture from storage 5 months later there was not a scratch on anything! I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to all my friends!!! more

Used Alexandria Moving for a cross town move last week. Thought the employees worked hard and did a good job protecting my furniture. The office staff also was great the way they helped me out in a tight situation in between moves. Everyone I dealt with was professional and respectful. I will defiantly use AM again. more

Thanks movers at work - I had to find a quick storage, due some personal problems - In less than a few minutes after submitting my quote request , I got 6 quotes for my storage, There were major differences between the companies and it was easy to decide on who was the best place for me. more

I heartily recommend them! 8/10/2010

I picked Alexandria Moving based on the awesome Judy's Book reviews, and I was not disappointed. The guy who does the scheduling was very helpful and thorough. The movers arrived on time. They moved everything quickly, despite the apartment being up three flights of stairs and it was raining. The "team spokesman" who did all of the paperwork was friendly, polite and reassuring. The grand total came in at the low end of the estimate. The only minor problem was that, while I did tell them to put my stuff "anywhere" upstairs, they did it in a very sloppy way. One armchair was left upside down & precariously hanging off of a couch. However, nothing was damaged which is the important thing. I think if I had been upstairs watching/directing things, I would have had no problems. I heartily recommend them! And thanks to all the Judy's Book reviewers who helped me decide on Alexandria Movers. more

Moving companies always make me nervous - but these guys put me right at ease. Packed up my whole apartment and moved in 1 day. The guys were very nice and respectful and took good care of my stuff. The foremen was great at organizing his guys and all the guys worked really hard. They showed up 1 guy short - but ended up adding two guys when they needed the help - and price-wise it all worked out very close to the original estimate. Always nervous about movers - but these guys did a great job and I would recommend Alexandria-Moving.net. more

Moving company 4/28/2010

After moving ourselves countless times, we decided to enlist the help of professional movers this time. I was impressed by the ratings Alexandria Moving had received on YAHOO, so pursued booking them for our move on last week. Although their vehicle had broke down early in the morning, they still managed to rent a new truck and make it to our appointment only slightly late - and we were notified of this ahead of time by the office. The team was extremely careful with all of our stuff, and did an exceptional job packing delicate furniture in plastic and/or blankets and ensured everything fit in one trip (we are a couple with 2 small kids so have lots of stuff). They were mindful of our newly renovated home and didn't scratch any walls or floors, and moved heavy items down a narrow staircase to the basement without complaint. Our only regret is that we tried to move some of our "Valuables" ourselves and didn't get them to do it instead. Next time, I would leave it all to the professionals at Alexandria Moving. more
