I hired this company in April 2007, which goes by the names of Alexandra Shower Design and also 1-800 Showers, to install a frameless shower in my newly remodeled master bath.
There were problems at the initial installation: most hinges were chrome as contracted but others were nickel and had to be reordered; they failed to install any door handle on the inside of the shower door; one of the 3 glass panels was 3/4 of an inch too tall; excessive silicone caulk was applied in uneven globs as if applied by a first-time amateur. The owner, Steve, promised to return to correct the problems. It took weeks and numerous calls to get him to return. He replaced the nickel hinges and lowered the glass panel that was too tall.
However, in doing so, he caused the entire shower to lean. The walls of the shower are no longer perpendicular to the floor. The top of the shower door is leaning away from the wall and no longer fully held by the hinge. He again did not remember to install the door handle.
It has now been months, dozens of calls, and several broken promises to show up. I am unable to use the shower due to safety fears. I am still waiting for him to reinstall the shower panels correctly.
I have had a competitive company look at the installation and they fear the installation will never turn out correctly due to Alexandra's initial incorrect measurements.
Cons: Unreliable, Poor Quality, Not Honest
