This is my favorite place to celebrate a triumph or drown a defeat. Enjoy tasty beers, the very best burgers, hot fries, spicy wings... or the comfort of a hot open-faced turkey sandwich with real mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, and cranberry sauce. It has a neighborhood feel and appeal. The ladies' room could use some updating, but the building has character. I have heard that the desserts are all homemade, but I'm always too full to try one. They're closed on Mondays, and if you want to eat quickly you'll want to get in before the drinking crowd on Thurs, Fri and Sat. This place is THE best place for Wings and beer. The German Wheat Beer (Paulaner) that they serve is out of this world - its like seeing the Lord before your eyes. I studied in RPI and I have many fond memories getting drunk with friends in the Ale House. I would strongly recommend this place to any beer lover. more
