In a word... Meh! Pros: Lots of displays, great selection, some knowledgable staff. Cons: Manager is annoying, they never answer the phones

i recommend it 10/14/2008

after visiting the shop twice asking for advice, it wasn't until the third visit that I found the manager to talk to. she boosted my confidence in their expertise enough for me to invest my money into putting shades in a lot of my windows in my new house. I installed them myself and, since i'm a bit handy, it only took a few hours. in the end my shades look great and will look great for many many years. Pros: big selection, great advice (when you find the right person to talk to at the store) Cons: almost too much to choose from, easy to get a sales person that's not that helpful more

Expect to be overwhelmed in a good way !!\r You can expect to learn things about your windows that you never knew before.\r And the Alcatraz Shade Shop will help you tackle the\r hardest windows to cover with experienced solutions. \r This store is the store you come to for answers or \r maybe just a small part for a blind that is no longer\r available. But guess what after being in business \r for over a half a century the Alcatraz Shade Shop\r will most likely have the part you need. \r And how many other stores has a seasoned repairman\r that can fix your blinds/shades in lightening speed.\r Not many my friends.\r Idora Park Resident more
