We went to this place for Valentines day. It was all empty, we should have gotten hit that itself. Anyway, when we looked for Valentine day special, it seemed pricey for 4 course meal for 59$ per person. We decide to choose from Menu, the beef Kabob and Chicken Kabob were ok. Nothing special for the price we were paying. The service was reasonable. When I my husband asked for suggestion to eat the Naan bread with - the waiter, kind of mocked at him. Well, hey we have never been to a persian restuarant so some suggestions would have helped. more

This restaurant is very overpriced has bad service and very very plain tasteless food. Never going back. more

Alborz - we love this place! 7/18/2007

This is a family owned and run restaurant, and we love their food - so do our friends and family. Most of the time we have ordered the kabobs (chicken and beef) and they are excellent. Flatbreads and hummous are the best - we especially like the garlic flatbread, but the others are excellent too. They treat you like family - they call you by name, and are always warm and hospitable. It sort of feels like you are guests in their home. The meals are never rushed, and the setting is quiet enough to talk without having to shout. When our grown son returned after six months away from Seattle, his first request was to have dinner at Alborz. That says it all. Do yourself a favor and give Alborz a try! more

Artistic Persian 6/1/2006

My mother had a Middle Eastern plastic surgeon who had some beautiful examples of calligraphy in his home; I wanted to collaborate with him on some art projects, but unfortunately, he http://www.perfectyourself.com/search/surgeon.asp?sid=7 supposedly fled the country in the face of scandal. Alborz http://www.alborzrestaurant.net/pix.html many fine examples of Persian calligraphic art here for sale, some decorate the walls; I'm tempted to glue them to incorporate some into a collage.... But the real draw for "mostly vegetarian" me is their breads, they make several and I enjoy eating them right after they are cooked. It this is an indication of what the rest of their cuisine is like, carnivores will rejoice! more

There is Persian in Redmond 5/31/2006

I've been living in Redmond for almost a year now, and I was always wondering if it had a Persian restaurant, but I couldn't find one. Not only does it have one, but Alborz is excellent. The prices are a bit high for lunch, but this restaurant delivers food that is well worth it. I tried a lamb shank, and it was very good. I will be returning to try more, but with these prices I will probably be going for dinner. more
