We went to the Green Olive on a Thurs. night at 5:15. We ordered 15 minutes later and didn't even get a salad for 30 minutes. The waitress disappeared, and when we did ask for things, so she forgot them. The food was ok, but it was overpriced. Based on this, we had decided we would not returning. The following story is what inspired me to post and let others know not to dine there.\r At the beginning of the meal we presented a coupon for discounts at the shopping area and asked if they accepted it. The waitress said they did and took it away. When the check arrived, no discount was given. When we inquired, we were told we did not order the right items to qualify for the coupon. At no point during the meal were we given any information about what items would or would not qualify. In the end, they refused to give a discount, but they did finally give us our coupon back. Was recently in WP for 5 days and this was absolutely the worst experience we had there from the ambiance to the service and food, everything was horrible. It takes a lot to get me upset enough to write a review and this place pushed all the buttons. Judging by the other reviews, it was not just the case of a ""bad night"". I only wish I had read these before we went. I wouldn't even give it one star unless this site made me. more

If you are going to visit Winter Park, dont expect to find great restaurants, even though the resort is ABSOLUTELY amazing, the town is nothing but one highway. Anyway, we (7 people) went in hoping for some good food, after being forced to eat junk food for days. The restaurant looks old and out dated, it wasnt full at all, in fact there were about 5 tables and us. We were ignored for about 10 minutes after we sat down, finally we were greeted by this server who was nice until asked for things...\r Our food took over 30 minutes to come and by the time we started eating, the restaurant was empty. Our server disappeared, finally when he showed up and I asked him for a refill he said: ""Hang on buddy !"" - and it went on, he kept referring to people as buddies and pals... he clearly looked annoyed everytime we asked him for ANYTHING. He then refused to split checks, I told him that I only had a credit card and that I wanted checks split, he refused, refused and refused. I was so tired of his behavior that I just wanted to leave, but of course he added 20% to our check... hum, no wonder he didnt care to give us good service - 7 people and one bottle of wine and our check was $390 !! Not a good place. Service, Food and atmosphere sucked. It them at least 20 minutes to serve us. and the service was bad. The food was like buffet food, dry and old. Unexperienced staff. Really had that feeling that they didn't care. BAD place in my book. more

We went to the Green Olive Italian Steakhouse for a birthday dinner. Needless to say, we left after an overpriced bottle of wine and a mediocre appetizer ($9 for five small fried mozzerella cheese curds and some fruit). The waitress, obviously untrained, did not know how to open a bottle of wine (really) and admitted that she had not tried anything on the menu except for ravioli. We paid the bill and went across the street and had a fabulous dinner at Dino's. \r \r I'm not blaming this on the waitress, but management for sending her onto the floor completely untrained.
