Do not go to Albany Glass!! I took my car in, hoping for a quick easy windshield replacement. Instead I received my car in worse condition than took it in. The windshield itself was fine, but the seal was bumpy and wrinkled, which will not flatten itself in the middle of winter. There were pieces that were NOT attached, I currently have the pieces of my trim in my car so I don't lose them. Lastly, I have to have my entire dashboard replaced because of multiple large one inch gouges in the plastic. So instead of having a cracked windshield I now have a scratched up dashboard, missing car pieces, and a wrinkled seal. Also the owner and installer are very difficult to deal with.
This is Lindsay, again, so it has been nearly 3 months and the damage done to my car has not been fixed. I have only gotten the owner to meet with me twice now to discuss the issues with my car. I cannot truly express my frustration with the owner and how difficult this all has been. To make matters worse, when I met with him this morning for our second visit, he had two cops waiting there for our meeting!! I was shocked and angry that a sixty- some year old grown man had called the police as an intimidation tactic on a 21 year old girl. He continued to screw me over and not take responsibility for some of the damage that his shop did to my car. Well, the cops could see what kind of a shop ALBANY GLASS is, and pulled me aside and suggested I take the owner, Dan Dycus, to small claims court. If you want fast and proper work on your car, make sure NOT to go to Albany Glass.
