I moved to Monterey last year and the closest vet clinic was Aguajito..I don't trust my lil guys (kitty blue and Angus the mutt) to just anyone so I was very involved and maybe even interfering on my first visit. I wanted to see how everything was done. The manager, Nelita, was well informed and accomodating of my wishes. The vet techs, were professional and friendly. The vet I see is Dr. Williams and he has been amazing, Angus managed to break his leg last December and as of now you would have no clue. I know more people now and apparently ""Doc"" Williams has been the go-to for animal surgeries around here forever. As, for the prices...weeellll it ain't Montana, but sadly they are right in line with everyone else (and everyTHING) else in this area. Highly recommend. more

We have always been pleased with the service at Aguajito Veterinary Hospital. Over the years we have taken several of our pets there and have always been treated with kindness and respect. Recently our cat was very ill and we thought he was near the end. We worked with Dr. Kaplan-Dau who took her time in consulting with us and helping us choose the best plan of action for him. She was very patient and compassionate. Thankfully, he has recovered and is doing amazingly well. I would definitely recommend this office to those looking for great care for their animals. more

I just went in for my dog's annual check-up and shots. I arrived a few minutes early to fill out paperwork and was seen within 10 minutes. I was very impressed with the doctor's thoroughness and how she handled my dog. Also, the price of the exam with shots was reasonable. more

I have to say, I love our DVM, Dr Loughlin. She's an expert in so many things, and has even studied vet acupuncture in China! She's very caring and treats our geriatric cats so well--can't say enough about her. The vet techs behind the scenes are clearly animal lovers (we can hear them cooing at the cats when they're in the treatment area away from us) and are very conscientious We love Mark, Lindsey, and Lanz, especially. Our only point of contention with the clinic is that the front office routinely muffs up refilling the cats' meds, God love 'em. I'll call in 3 meds, they call me to pick them up, and only one will be ready. Every damn time. So I'll make 2 -3 trips to pick up the meds. Ah well. Can't have perfection. At least they're really friendly. Pricing is typical of the area, and parking is ample--on the street and a small area in the front of the clinic. They're always busy, so they must be doing something right! My pets end up getting better care from their doc than I do from mine. more

I have been a client of Aguajito Veterinarian Hospital for over 30 years. All of my many pet companions have been cared for lovingly by Dr. Williams and his team of doctors and technicians. I have not had a bad experience here and will continue to have my four legged family 's medical needs taken care of at this hospital. I am currently seeing Dr. Rockwwod. She is very thorough in checking my pets. She treats them with kindness and respect. I am very happy here and will continue on with them. I don't know why some other reviewers had problems. I never have. I trust them with my furry family. more
