I needed a electric vehicle outlet installed for a Electric vehicle charging system . It was a difficult installation due to where my main service was located. After talking to several companies telling me how difficult and costly it would be I called Alan Goldberg Electric. Alan and one of his team members came out to assess the job. After a few minutes they came up with. Smart and affordable solution. They started the installation job the next day. They made a hard job look easy. Real pro's. I am glad I hired a local electrician. After such a great job I found out that they do home remodels as well. I had them price out and do my bathroom. I will upload a picture of the project.. . Great work. I am Glad I used a local contractor that actually is family owned and operated . more

Did a Great job 5/4/2012

This was a hard job. I had several electricians look at the job. Most other electricians were either late, to pricey or did not know how to do the job. Alan looked at the job, he was on time, he gave me a quote and the next day one of his team members did the job, fast and clean. great job more

Wow look at my new Kitchen 5/4/2012

I called several contractors for my kitchen remodel. I Needed my new kitchen completed in 3 weeks and within my budget. Alan Goldberg Contractors came through. They we easy to work with, always had supervision on my job site. they worked within my time frame and budget. They are now doing my neighbors house. jhey are also very pleased with Alan and his team more

A very talented and friendly crew! 5/2/2012

We could not be happier with our Venice beach home remodel done by Alan Goldberg Contractors. The workmanship and materials were excellent along with all of the trades used. Everyone on the job was friendly and respectful, which made the typical chaos of a construction project much more tolerable. Alan did a great job of keeping us informed through each step of the renovation process and was always on the job insuring all was going well. The job came in on budget and on time. We will definitely use Alan Goldberg Contractors for future projects. more

Out with the Old - In with the New 4/14/2010

So I decided I needed to update my little cottage of a house. I did a search (on Citysearch) for a contractor in my neck of the woods - the place you need a passport to get into - The Valley. I interviewed a few people, but, you know when you hear ""go with your gut?"" Well, that's what I did. From my first emails and phone calls with Alan's office, I felt I would be given individualized treatment. I'm really into customer service these days since it seems like there isn't any anymore. So, I scheduled an estimate - got a good price and went with my gut. I now have a new bathroom (everything torn out and new) and a bigger master bedroom (I was indulging my inner goddess :) Alan and his guys walked me through everything. I picked out the stuff I wanted and, voila - updated cottage. They cleaned up after themselves and made everything pretty and new. Alan had spot on suggestions and, here's a surprise - they all spoke english!!! Pros: Everything more

i first got an estimate from BRYDEN ELECTRIC. they missed the first appointment, they we late for the second appointment. they were over priced and did not speak good english. i then called alan goldber electric. \r they did a great job. i needed recessed lights, a panel upgrade, and my house re wire. i called alan , and he showed up on time ad did a great job that was less than there competition. Pros: did a great job, fast , clean , knows his stuff more

Just wanted to give a heads up - found the best electrical guy. I had fuses blowing and a potential fire hazard going on (or so I was told by the neighbors who discovered the problem while I was at work). Called this company and they were incredible (even the inspector told me what a good job they did). It's nice to know that there are still quality professionals out there! Pros: Best Electric Dude Ever Cons: None more

I really do not like writing unfavorable reviews, on the other-hand, when I come here I'm always hoping that other users will leave reviews ? good or bad. With that in mind:\r \r This business a little flaky. They can't get back to you in a timely fashion to schedule an appointment. When they finally do, they wanted to come over 'right now' ? no appointment. Like - we've just found a hole in our more lucrative schedule and would like to fill that hole with you.\r \r To bad for them, I have several rentals (which I didn't tell them about) and I was hoping to find a reliable electrician for various properties.\r \r When I first looked at the reviews for Alan Goldberg, I was a little suspicious when I noticed that 3 of the positive reviews were entered on the same day. Hmmmm.\r \r I gave up on these guys and called Bryden Electrical in S.M. They scheduled the job for the next morning, showed up on time, did the work quickly and charged a fair price.\r \r Pros: can't think of any Cons: Not very responsible more

Excellent Electricians 7/14/2008

I hired Alan Goldberg based on site reviews, and I'm happy to say that everyone who praises them are correct. I called to make an appt. and as I was leaving a voice message, Alan was immediately flashing on my caller ID. They installed two ceiling fans for me and did a perfect job at a great price. When I realized that the 2nd ceiling fan in the bedroom was noisy (my fault for buying a cheap one) they came back out a few days later and put up my new 'quiet' fan. When the new fan made a buzzing sound, Albert figured out why and fixed it perfectly. When I told him that I needed it flush to the ceiling, he took it down and redid it without complaint. He even skipped his daughter's play rehearsal to finish the job. I also had ethernet cables strung along the hallway (for over a year) connecting computers to a modem - no one would go under the house, not my husband, not even the cable company. These guys not only wired us up, but did it quickly and so cheap that we were able to double the tip. Super highly recommended. Thanks guys! Pros: Great communication. No estimate fee. Quick and responsible. Great prices. Alan's sense of humor. Happy customers! Cons: Not a one. more

Showed up on time, ran through some quick trouble shooting, got under the house and got it done. I know enough to be dangerous, and could tell he was banging through it the right way.
