I rented my car on line and picked it up at Sky Harbor in Phoenix. The young man at the desk was very nice and even gave me an upgrade. Then, I got to choose the car I wanted! Who could ask for more? He ask me about adding other items, but didn't push me to purchase additional insurance, etcetera. This I liked very much! I needed to extend, but he suggested I return at the end of the week I order that I maintain the great rate I had gotten on the Internet. I drove in, about 20 minute drive, and saved money by doing it this way. Thank you Alamo. more

Was very happy with my experience with Alamo car rental. No issues with the car, and I highly recommend taking advantage of the pre-check in / pre-pay option. This made our experience super smooth. When we arrived, the lines at all the car rental counters were very long, and it was awesome to walk right past it and go pick out our car. :) Would use Alamo again in the future. more

It was terrible!!! The car was good and the trip was good but when I returned the car to PHX I got my receipt and everything was good according to the guy at alamo and 3 days later I get a letter in the mail saying there was damage to the car and alamo wants my insurance and credit card info which is a complete shock to me because when I returned it alamo said we were good so if damage was done after I returned it and they are trying to say its my responsibility then that is very ahady! more

Next day noticed small crack in the windshield. called customer service. Next day morning went back to airport. easy exchange, choice of new car given all with in 10-15 min and we are on the way. Very happy with the rental process. (I am Insider Member too)\r other friend went to some other company and it took almost 2 hours for the whole process.\r I would Highly recommend ALAMO. GO ALAMO !!!!!!!!!! more

I don't travel much at all. It's been years since I've rented a car. I'm from Phoenix and didn't know the rental car center was there until I flew back. Just don't spend much time around the airport. I booked the car and paid (minus taxes) when I bought the plane ticket,so I didn't have to do much at check in. They charged what they said I would be charged, pointed me in the right direction and I picked out the car myself from the lot. Nice clean car and checking back in was as simple as turning off the car. I would use Alamo again for sure.It will probably be awhile though! more

I used Alamo for a week in mid-November. The prices were very competitive and since they did not have the car class I had reserved I was given an upgrade which was very nice. more

My boyfriend and I used Alamo this September while visiting his folks in Arizona and had the best experience. They were friendly, quick, didn't up-sell and were reliable. We have used other rentals before on similar trips and had horrific experiences. Glad to know there are honest, customer-friendly companies out there! We'll definitely use them again and recommend them to others. We weren't sure what we were going to get since we booked our flight and car as a package on Expedia but we were very satisfied! more

I rented the car online and prepaid. When I arrived at the Car Rental building, I did not have to go to the desk. I found a car I liked got in and drove away. The car was clean, comfortable and an upgrade because I arrive at about 9:15 pm and they didn't have the standard size available. I left something in the car and received an email from Alamo asking how I wanted it returned. There was a fee for shipping but I am grateful that they found it. Thank you, Alamo. more
