I truly wish I could give 0 Stars! I travel 75% or my life for business and literally rent hundreds of rental cards per year. This Alamo is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERE.\r

I waited 45 minutes for them to bring a car along with about a dozen other renters, some with families. When they finally brought a vehicle they had no organized queue so it was whoever ran to the car first got it. I reserved and paid for a standard size car and they gave me a Cruze, which is a Compact Car. I had my choice to take it or wait indefinitely for a Std size car, so I took it. \r
They did NOT walk around with the car for an inspection.\r
They apologized for the wait and gave me a free tank of gas.\r
They sent me on my way.\r

I did a walk around the car the next morning and noticed that there was some damage to the Right Side Rocker Panel. I noted it on the Inspection Sheet supplied with the rental agreement and went to my first appointment of the week.\r

The car had an over whelming smell of perfume inside. I realized why a day or so later. Someone had smoked in the car and they tried to hide it by spraying perfume. After the car was subjected to a day of rainy weather it made the inside of the car smell like wet dog!\r

When I returned the car to an Alamo location @ EWR they noticed that the car had the damage to the Right Hand Rocker Panel. I told them the car was like that when I picked it up and handed them the inspection sheet with the damage noted on it. They asked me to initial it, which I did, and took the sheet from me. The person even said: “good, then at least we don’t have to pay for it Manchester does”.\r

Over 2 weeks later I received a rather curt VM from the Supposed Manager at the Manchester Alamo (Julie) stating that I had damaged the car and that they were forwarding the issue to the Damage Recovery Unit to get the money from me to repair the car. I tried to call Julie back 4x and was NEVER able to get anyone to answer the phone at the Manchester location. I left 3x VM’s and had no returned call. The 4th time I tried to call the VM box was FULL and couldn’t take any more VM’s…Unbelievable. This is the way you provide customer service…Really?!\r

You have other choices at MHT for car rentals. They may be a couple of $ more per day, but in the long run you will be saving yourself a lot of aggravation and time.
