My family and I decided to stop in for some Mexican food ?? what a mistake... Never again the restaurant was really dirty, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and it looked and smelled horrible. When I returned to my table there was a dead roach on the floor that's when I decided we where leaving bottom line dirty never be back . more

Yikes 12/25/2008

The ceiling was molding around a ac vent above where I was sitting.\r The molding ac would drip into my food. I told the waiter and he said a little would not hurt me. Yikes....Have not been back there. more

best salsa! 11/17/2008

When I am in my hometown, Alamo is always a fave destination for the freshest chips, salsa and guacamole around! I have never had a bad meal there, everything is super fresh and authentic.Margaritas are so tasty too! The restaurant itself is off US 1 in an A-frame type building and isn't real fancy, but worth a trip if you are in the mood for delicious Mexican food! more

Umm....Umm.... Good 6/16/2007

The food at the Alamo is the best in Florida. Every time I have been in that area we make it a point to have dinner. Two time in a year. The owners are so friendly and make you feel welcomed as are the staff. The waitress come right to your table with chips & salsa. They have fresh chips, they make them at the resturant. We have ordered different items each time & always fresh just out of the oven. It is truly Mexican food. The recipes are from her mother who lived in El Paso,Texas. The resturant has been around for over 43 years in same location. Nice paint colors inside & out. Great atmosphere. Bar area is pretty with lots of colorful tile. It is a family own & mostly run. Pros: Service, Ambience, Awesome food Cons: Waiting for a table more

Bad food, bad service 3/14/2007

The whole experience was so bad that I'm not even sure where to start. Pros: nice atmosphere, nice bar area Cons: bad service, bad food more

The Alamo is the real deal 10/1/2005

I was really surprised to see a bad review here of the Alamo. My husband is bonafide TexMex and this is the only Mexican restaurant in Brevard County that he'll go back to -and we do, about twice a month for the last 5 months. It is beautifully authentic in appearance, and the staff could not be nicer. We have had enchilladas, fajitas, quesadillas - it has all been great and REAL Mexican, not Cuban mush trying to masquerade as Mexican. The green chile stew is not to be missed! Pros: atmosphere, authentic cuisine, attentive service Cons: gets crowded early more

bland 9/2/2005

I am a major fan of mexican food but the food here is very undesirable. I get better taste from taco bell of all places. I have heard a few great things about this place then i go and the food is extremely lacking flavor. I thought maybe it was just the particular food that i got but there was a good size group of us and all our food was bland. more

I love this place 6/7/2005

They have the best salsa any were. They have fresh chips and the food is the best I have ever found. Even living in new mexico the food at the alamo is so much better. Everything is so fresh and the prices are great. You get a full plate of food for a real low price. I have never left hungry. The service is some of the best I have ever found. Everyone treats you like you are part of the family. more
