Aladdin's Natural Eatery

Of all the local Aladdin's, this is my favorite! It is always clean and never crowded. The service is friendly and attentive. As for the food, it is fabulous! I love all of the vegetarian selections, but there's also plenty here for the meat eaters in the crowd. Their hummus is always fresh and very creamy. I love their "pockets" which are really giant salads stuffed inside a pita and topped with your choice of entrée, my favorite is mujadara (a tasty mix of lentils and rice). I usually rip it open and eat like a salad b/c it is too stuffed to eat like a sandwich. Their soups are also very flavorful, and several are vegetarian! more

I'm not a health food person usually, but I love that I can visit this restaurant, eat wonderful food in a clean and friendly environment and be healthy too. I adore Alladin's baba, I get the plate with a side of cucumbers to keep my carbs down and I go to town. I have yet to find another baba like it, and trust me, I've looked. I've even tried to recreate it in my home to know avail. The baba alone is worth a trip to this restaurant. We've also tried a variety of the plates, all the meats are very lean and the vegetable very fresh. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful. All in all this a great place to visit. Plus if you feel short on calories, the sweets look marvelous, I've only had the carrot cake, but I can vouch for it's delightfulness. more

My one friend is always raving about this place. One day we decided to pick up lunch from Aladdin's and wow--it was really good! I guess I was surprised because I'm not good about trying new things, especially ethnic food. I tried their Lentil soup, which was good--but the best part was the beef wrap in a pita. (I got the sauce on the side, (which I made a complete mess with!) But it was so addictive and didn't make the pita soggy. more

Aladdin's offers a really great menu with wonderful soups and such a wide selection of vegetarian and meat dishes that everyone goes home happy. This place makes it easy to eat healthy! Everything is so appealing that you don't miss the meat, fat, cheese and fried foods that you get everywhere else. My faves are the garlic soup & the lentil/rice dish listed first under the Specialties (can't think of the name right off hand). Try it out! more

If you are looking for really delicious middle eastern / Lebanese food without spending a fortune then you should seriously consider eating at Aladdin's in Grandview. The menu is full of a variety of middle eastern dishes and everything I've eaten has been great. My wife and I are always conflicted when we go because we love the Shish Kebab plate (mixed greens, your choice of a number of dressings, feta, olives, cucumbers and tomatoes, topped with very tender marinated beef) but we also want to keep trying more things from the menu. There are easily a 100 different items on the menu. My father spent the first 30 years of his life in Lebanon and whenever he visits town we go to Aladdin's, it has his seal of approval for authentic Lebanese cuisine. On top of the delicious food its also extremely reasonable, 90% of the menu is under $10. They also have a nice selection of wine and beer. As if that wasn't enough they make incredible deserts, as soon as you walk in you'll see the pastry window full of what looks like designer cakes. The slices are not quite as cheap (about 4-5 dollars) when compared to the dinner/lunch menu but when you want to indulge it is worth it. The service is always great and the atmosphere is pleasant. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. more

Aladdin's eatery is always a great place to go at a pretty reasonable price. They have an amazing selection of food, one of the longest menus I've ever seen! I highly recommend the falaffel, which is great as an appetizer or even dinner. My favorite is the Schiscabob wrap, which has nice big pieces of beef and tasty feta cheese (one of my favorites). The chicken chili is also good for a light lunch, and their cake selection is...WOW! It's a great place to go for dessert alone if you have a sweet tooth. The only reason this restaurant didn't get a five is because pretty much everything is a la carte, which can get kind of expensive. Overall, though, a wonderful place, and the food is a nice escape from the ordinary. more

This is a really nice place, small and friendly with some great food. The Lamb Platter is especially recommended, but there is a wide variety of food (a really long menu!) including vegetarian items. Many items are very healthy, and most everything is nicely spiced. Some excellent desserts, too. more
