Fantastic modest Pakistani restaurant 4/3/2009

My bike was at Del Amo Motorsports for some maintenance so I went out to find a bite to eat. I saw a broken sign for Al Noor but the neon ojn the door said open and I was interested to see what it was like. Friendly man and woman were working the front counter so I took a seat and ordered soem tea, tomato chicken rice and garlic naan. What a delicious meal! There was enough to feed two for $15.00 even(I took home what I couldn't finish) so this place is a good deal too. Friendly staff, just come for the meal, not a romantic dinner unless you bring your own candle. Pros: Incredible kitchen, fresh food and great tea Cons: Very humble and modest dining room more

Best Indian/Pakistani food ever 6/17/2008

This unassuming hole in the wall is literally my favorite restaurant ever. My friends and I are the ultimate regulars there--the food is consistently delicious, the service is personable and quick, take out is also always served hot and fantastic. Creamy orange tikka masala sauce and spicy thick palak (spinach) sauce are delicious with paneer (cheese), halal white meat chicken, and gobi (potatoes). Pairs perfectly with plain rice and plain or garlic naan. Everything at Al Noor is tasty and you can get it really spicy, medium, or mild--they are true to your preference. Family-owned and family run, this is a great low-key restaurant for anyone who loves Indian food or is first venturing into this yummy type of food. Pros: Spicy tasty vegetarian or meat dishes Cons: Nothing! more

Excellent food in a modest strip mall restaraunt. We go there again and again, and always love it. The food is always freshly prepared and well served. Good value for the money. Try the garlic nan. more
