since 1967 I've been taking my car to Al Grimmett's and I have to tell you I trust no one else with my cars. He won't cheat you. He won't try to sell you something you don't need and if something still isn't working after he fixes it, he does his honest best to make all things right. My father, mother, step father, sister, bother n' law and best friend all go to see John, Al's son. You'd expect to pay more for service like this, but fairness is what you'll get. Honest Honest Honest. Best Anywhere. If you're on a trip and have a problem you can call John and he'll try to help you out. Or you have a question about something someone has told you at another out of town service... John will tell you if the advice is good to go if he can. I've been taking my car to John for three years now, and the service and speed are beyond anything I have ever experienced. I recommend everyone to them. Pros: Honesty, reasonable prices, trustworthiness Cons: Not one. more

Oh yes!! A good mechanic is hard to find, but a trustworthy, go to the mat for you mechanic who also has chops is even harder. About 5 years ago I lucked out with finding John Grimmet and his crew because they were close to work, but not a year goes by that he doesn't prove himself to be a star in his domain. I've been told at a big name in L.A. repair guru that I needed a new clutch because its dangerous to drive my car, John adjusted it and told me I had 2 more years...and he was on the nose. John later did the clutch and at a much better price. There are few things better than being able to leave your car with someone and trust that they will give you the real bottom line and help you with your options. Grimmet RULES!! Pros: great service, trustworthy, great value Cons: only one location more
