Please DO NOT use this tour agency to your trip to south america at all costs! It was horrible!!!! Worst trip we have EVER taken .
I thought we were guaranteed four star hotels but ALL the hotels we got were MOTEL quality(except for the Sheraton in Lima--where we only stayed in for five hours and the one in Buenes Aires). ALL the tour guides, except for the one in Lima (Aldofo) and Rio de Junerio (Miss Ma) was HORRIBLE!!!! they were not accomadating at all--worst GUIDES I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERed!!!! and most didn't even speak good ENglish (the one in Manuas, Brazil didn't speak ENGLISH AT ALL)!!!!
The food was TERRIBLE, except for the Brazilian barbeque that we had in Rio and the Rafain show in Iguassu! Otherwise, they keep on taking us to Chinese Restaurants, eventhough we asked them not to because we are NOT in CHINA, and the food made us SOOOOOOO sick!
Plus, we had paid an extra $400 per person for a PRIVATE TOUR!!! but when we were in Cuzco, our guide just picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel, and for our city tour and our Manchu Picchu tours, they made us go with a group of 20 people plus, with different guides for each tour!!!! What's the point of paying extra for a private tour guide???
Finally, I had the company to give me an English translated itinerary when I received the Chinese one in the mail two days before we were taking off. But the stupid company said they couldn't. Well, in their Chinese itinerary, there was apparently a page that told us what kind of extra costs we were to expect...like paying the airport tax when we leave Peru (domestic and international--$5.50 and $31 respectively per person) and in Argentina, we were suppose to pay an extra $29 per person for tips for the restaurants, bell boy and maids at the hotel)--and we didn't know about all this extra cost because the STUPID COMPANY SENT US the ITINERARY IN CHINESE and wouldn't get me an ENGLISH itinerary when I had asked for it!!!! I know that this company caters to chinese customers, but they took my money KNOWING that I wanted an ENGLISH guided tour--so EVERYTHING should have been in ENGLISH. If they couldn't have provided that, then they shouldn't have taken my money.
Please do not waste your money and end up with a horrible vacation--Please do not use AKI group!
