Dr. deMello has really been there for our family on several occasions. When I go in to see him about any physical issue I am having, he always asks about what is going on in my life and how I am doing emotionally. My appointments with him usually last for an hour or more. I find this so refreshing because there really is a link between body and mind and he practices this deeply. He is very thorough and looks at each issue from many perspectives. Amazing ""bedside manner."" When my husband (who has a high stress job and drinks too much coffee) goes in for his annual physical exam, Dr. deMello actually calls me (with my husband's consent, of course) and tells me what changes to his diet, exercise, and supplements he wants my husband to do.
Recently, while out of the country, we had a health scare with our 6 year old daughter. A doctor in Europe wanted us to do some pretty serious tests with her. We got a second opinion in Europe and we just were not comfortable until we spoke to Dr. deMello, so we called him at his practice and left a message explaining what was going on. He called us back within a few hours and spent a lot of time with us on the phone giving us spot on advice and asking questions about her, physically as well as what has been going on in her life. He is such a wise, gentle doctor and made the whole scary process feel a lot better. She is fine, by the way.
When we first moved to L.A., 5 years ago, I did the 21 Day Detox program, led by another doctor from the Akasha Center. There, I met a woman who told me about Dr. deMello and she said, ""He is the best doctor I have ever been to."" I got his number from her and am so thankful that I met her and that she told me about him. I cannot agree with her more.
