The previous post is fortunate. I have been with AJS for too long, I recently found out they were doing unnecessary deliveries (which i do not believe) only to find out they have been taking advantage of my family for years. I found out after monitoring the activity for a consecutive 6 months. They are also very deceptive with their rates. I was recently told there were two different current oil rates by two different people. Once the lady found out i was told another rate she was only concerned about ""being pulled in the middle"" as opposed to admitting someone made a mistake or that I was just plain lied to. They have a very slick setup. Make sure you record your discussions with them because once they communicate to each other about your call to their office they will have a story/ alibi prepared to tell you and you will end up on the short end of the stick. I was recently told to take a day off and was told the tech would be at my location between 10 and 2. No one showed up until 3 and i didn't receive a call or update or anything. I have to call to find out a status and never got a direct answer nor did anyone try to reach a tech. I was just told they were on their way to my location for ""3 HOURS"". I am extremely disappointed and upset to know my family has been got over on for all of these years. I currently deal with another company for my other home and I have absolutely NO Problems. I have requested them to service the location I utilize AJS for. I hope more people will take the time to send in reviews for these guys as I have. I am sure there are more people with issues with AJS. more

I have been using AJS since 2006 and I can not say enough about this company. Recently my boiler went down and caused a flood in my basement and AJS was kind enough to send additional technicians down to help with the flooding and cleaning. By that evening, the boiler was up and running again. I can not thank them enough. Their prices have always been competitive and their staff is so helpful! I highly recommend AJS! more

STAY AWAY!!THIS IS A WARNING THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I AM SEEKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM!! THEIR SERVICE IS THE WORST!!! THEY CLAIM THEY DELIVER OIL JUST LIKE THE PREVIOUS POSTER SAID ...THEY DID NOT BECAUSE MY DELIVERY AREA WAS TOTALLY OBSTRUCTED AT THE TIME AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO ENTER AND DELIVER OIL. THEY LET MY FUEL RUN OUT AND CAUSED MACHENICAL FAILURE ON A DAY OF A SNOWSTORM. I MADE EMMEGENCY CALLS AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL BACK IN THE MORNING. I WAS WITHOUT HEAT ALL NIGHT THE HOUSE WAS AT BELOW FREEZING. I HAVE KIDS THEY TOLD ME MY KIDS WERE MY PROBLEM AND WILL NOT DELIVER. THEY ARE THIEVES...STAY AWAY FROM THESE RUDE PEOPLE. The sign-up fees are really low compared to other companies, which is how they get you in. Then they put you on an ""automatic delivery"" plan, which means they just show up all the time and claim to give you tons of oil. I had a full tank and they showed up one day and left a bill for 150 gallons of oil. I had barely even turned on the heat, so this seemed impossible. I called them and they got all defensive. I'm now tracking closely what we use, what they say they are delivering and what they are charging, because I do not trust them at all. Another thing is their bills are impossible to read. It's like they're stuck in 1985. They use unreadable carbon copies and have no way to pay online or track your account online. \r \r My advice would be to stay away. Pay a higher initiation fee somewhere else. At least you will know what you are paying for. Pros: It was easy to start with them, but I guess that's how they get you Cons: It is a scam more
