Exceptionally Delicious, Reasonably Priced 4/23/2012

To be completely honest with everyone reading, before I start I've got to admit I'm something of a rabid Aji Ten fan. It's without a doubt my personal favorite place to eat. However, considering the merits this establishment boasts, I feel my opinion stands to reason. In the end all I think that anyone considering dining here really needs to know is that they're in for some of the best-tasting authentic Japanese food in the area at what might be the most reasonable prices around. The atmosphere in the restaurant is homey and pleasant, and the staff are attentive and agreeable. I've never once left disappointed. more

THE worst Japanese Place 5/7/2010

This is a fake Japanese restaurant. Do not be fulled by the name. The server does not want to serve me at all. I just wanted to some food. Everything came over cooked, I asked them to re-cook them, but the lady said she does not understand what I was talking about!!! If you do not know English do not be a waitress!!! In the end they made me pay for all the over cooked food. I got out as fast as I can. I feel I was cheated and still hungry from not being able to eat decent food. If you do not know how to cook Japanese food, then please stop calling your place ""Japanese Restaurant"" Pros: None what so ever Cons: BAD food AND BAD service more

Best Japanese restaurant quality, price, and authentic wise 7/17/2009

SUGOI! I've been coming here almost every week or weekend for about 2 years now. The food is awesome, authentic, and wonderfully priced-*especially* compared to most other Japanese restaurants. I mean, example, Unadon, or Eel, the meal is $9 I believe and I've seen it be double elsewhere amazingly. Or Bento box which is beautiful and gives a great variety is an awesome deal-$9.50. The katsu curry is awesome as well...mmm! OISHII. Its often filled with mostly Asian people, so u know this is something great. I even had okonomiyako, that a previous reviewer brought up, it was wonderful! Their sushi is also wonderful, even I got inari sushi not on the menu I don't think, but love it-deep fried tofu skin with sushi rice inside. I cannot recommend this enough. The staff is all excellent, the main chef Marco is wonderful and Bill one of the sushi chefs and the various awesome servers are great, like Jill, Richard, JianJian, Michael, and a few others..enjoy them all. more

Authentic, very customer-oriented 1/29/2008

Ate there on recommendation from a friend for first time a few days ago, and WOW was I impressed. At first I wasn't sure what to think of it from the outside, but I quickly changed my mind.\r \r The menu was quite good, with lots of noodles dishes and many different kinds of ramen (which is amazing, once you've had real ramen you'll never have instant noodles again).\r \r There is also a large tv beaming satellite programming from Japan, so if you speak Japanese its great entertainment.\r \r The best part about it is the small restaurant feeling. My husband and I both previously lived in Japan, and he was amazed by Aji Ten as well--it is the first restaurant we've found in Michigan (or anywhere) to serve okonomiyaki!! It's not on the menu, but we asked here, like we do at all Japanese restaurants, and this is the first place to make it especially for us. Amazing.\r \r Will definitely go back (in fact, tomorrow!) Pros: Price, Size of meal, Customer service more
