I am so happy to have found this dojo here in Bloomington. Paul Laudeman Sensei is a sandan in the Wadokai Aikido organization, and is an incredibly gifted instructor. The teaching level of this school is excellent, the lineage of the organization is a direct connection to O'Sensei in Japan, and the culture of the dojo makes it a really fun place to work out in, and also to make new friends! more

If you are interested in learning Aikido as an effective method of self-defense and not just the pretentious spiritual teachings you will find in most aikido schools, you should visit Sensei Paul and his dojo. You will find a proper balance of philosophy and martial teaching. more

If you are sincerely interested in learning Aikido as a method of true self-defense, this is the place you should seriously consider. Aikido was meant to be an effective form of self-defense, yet the vast majority of aikido schools teach a mamby pamby watered down version where the emphasis is on pretentious spirituality rather than developing skilled proficiency. If you truly want a balance of Aikido Philosophy and Bujitsu, go visit Sensei Paul and his crew. You will not be disappointed. more
